Touchwood, the way he (Aryan Juyal) is batting is good for the team but we were here for only 3 games and now we have to move to Duleep Trophy. So we will be backing the team from outside now."

After losing the toss and put into bat first, Abhay Chauhan and Samarth Singh opened the innings for Lucknow Falcons. They were down to 14/2 in 3.4 overs when skipper Priyam Garg joined Chauhan in the middle. The duo added 47 runs for the third wicket before Chauhan was dismissed for 27 from 24 balls. Garg made 23 from 21 balls. They were then struggling at 71/5 in 11 overs. Kritagya Singh and Sameer Choudhary played some incredible shots and added 101 runs from 55 balls for the 6th wicket to help their team post a total of 172/5 in 20 overs. Singh made 69* from 31 balls while Sameer added 26 from 26 balls.
For Gorakhpur Lions, Vijay yadav was the pick of the bowlers who took 2/17 in 3 overs. Ankit Rajpoot also took 2/32 in 4 overs. Shivam Sharma managed to grab one wicket in the innings.
