So that's it from our coverage of the Friday double-header of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024. For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arjun Bhalla and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Good night.
Mayank Agarwal(Bengaluru Blasters Captain): "It could've been a tight chase. It was not easy. In the first 2-3 overs, they were really good. We didn't change the strategy as we had a good group of boys. We tried to execute the plan.

Manoj Bhandage batted really well. I think we have many small areas to make some improvement to make our side stronger. The team we formed, the trust we have in ourselves is such that we can play aggressive if one gets out for a low score. The morale is always high. To play against Mysore and defeating them will be a big boost."

Time for the post-match presentations.
00:14 IST and Local Time | Bengaluru Blasters have won this game by 4 wickets and with 5 balls remaining. They have made it two-in-two and are now the team to beat in this tournament.

The game was truncated as rain came just after the toss and it was reduced to a 18-over per side affair. Coming to bat first, Codanda Ajit Karthi gave his side a fiery start with his 10-ball 27 run knock which included 2 fours and 3 maximums. But barring his contribution, nobody in the top order stood tall as Karthik SU, Karun Nair, Samit Dravid and Sumit Kumar got out for cheap scores.

The collapse was well saved by Harshil Dharmani and Manoj Bhandage. Initially Bhandage took the upper hand but Dharmani made an unreal acceleration in the late phase of his innings. He brought up his fifty and got out for 50 hitting 6 fours and 2 maximums. Manoj Bhandage remained unbeaten on 58 from 33 balls with 5 fours and 3 maximums to help his team post 182 from the 18 overs. For the Bengaluru Blasters, MG Naveen had a stellar day with the ball picking up 4 wickets for 25 runs and the other wicket was taken by Aditya Goyal.

Coming to chase the run, Blasters lost their skipper Mayank Agarwal for just 1 but Chethan LR and Bhuvan Raju took the charge.  Firstly Chethan played the role of the aggressor but when the spinners were introduced, Bhuvan started to deal in maximums. Chethan got out on 33 off 25 balls but Bhuvan completed his fifty. The latter got run out on 51 but he decorated his 25-ball stay with 1 four and 6 maximums.

Suraj Ahuja came to bat after Chethan's dismissal and he contributed with a handy cameo of 39 from 18 balls with 2 fours and 4 maximums. After Ahuja and Bhuvan's dismissal, Shubhang Hegde took the innings forward and remained unbeaten on 27 off 15 balls to ensure the team's victory. He got the assistance from Aniruddha Joshi and Shivkumar Rakshith to take his team to the victory.

For, the Mysore-based franchise, Vidyadhar Patil and Codanda Ajit Karthik took a couple of wickets. Gautam Mishra contributed with one wicket.
17.1 J Suchith to S Rakshith
1 Suchith to bowl the last ball of the match. Rakshith takes Bengaluru home. Good length ball, the batter paddles it away over the keeper towards fine leg for the most important single. Bengaluru Blasters make two in two as they win this affair by four wickets with five balls to spare.
Just a solitary run is required for the Blasters to make it two-in-two. They have six balls to do so. Jagadeesha Suchith to bowl the final over.
Codanda Ajit Karthik ends with 2 for 37.

16.6 Karthik to S Rakshith
1 Scores are level. Rakshith would keep the strike. Slower ball at a length into the batter, who lets it to sit onto him. He pulls to deep mid wicket for a run.
16.5 Karthik to S Hegde
1 Too full and down the leg. Hegde turns it down to fine leg for a single. Two runs needed now.
16.4 Karthik to S Hegde
2 Full ball on the off. Hegde flicks it with the inner half of his bat as towards midwicket and returns for a brace. Rakshith dives it desperately and completes the run.
