02:31 IST & 10:01 PM Local Time | The Fourth Quarter-Final comes to an end and Gloucestershire have snatched it away from Warwickshire and have won the encounter by 14 runs. Gloucestershire have made their way to the Finals Day of the T20 Blast 2024.

Earlier in the day, Gloucestershire were put into bat by Alex Davies who elected to chase at his home ground. The visitors got off to a flying start with the bat. Both Hammond and Bancroft were taking down the bowlers in the powerplay before the former was dismissed for 30 in the final over of the powerplay.

Post the powerplay, spin was introduced from both the ends as the collapse began for Gloucestershire. From 70/1 they were down to 99/5 as only two batters in the middle order got to double figures. Gloucestershire were bowled out for 138 in 19.2 overs as Zak Foulkes was the pick of the bowlers for the home side. Warwickshire required to chase 139 runs in their 20 overs to make it to the Finals Day.

In reply, Warwickshire lost their skipper cheaply for just 5 inside the 3rd over. The battle between David Payne and Moeen Ali was getting heated up as the left arm pacer had the last laugh dismissing Moeen Ali for 27. The gate opened for a comeback post the dismissal of Dan Mousley and Sam Hain after the end of the powerplay.

Chris Benjamin played a handy knock of 33 which at the end went in vain as the Bears felt short of their target and lost the encounter by 14 runs. David Payne was impressive as he was the pick of the bowlers for Gloucestershire with figures off 4/23. So Gloucestershire have defeated Warwickshire and have booked their spot in the finals day of the T20 Blast 2024.

19.6 D Payne to R Gleeson
1lb That would be it. Gloucestershire have defended a low total of 138 runs. And they will proceed to the semifinal by beating the Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston.

Payne sums it up with a brilliant last over. Bowls a good length and a slower ball on the middle and leg. Gleeson looks to heave it in the leg side but wears on his pads, and they run across for a leg bye.

Nevertheless, Gloucestershire win the 4th quarterfinal of the T20 Blast 2024 by 14 runs against an away crowd.

Another one bites the dust! David Payne has his fourth wicket of the game.
19.5 D Payne to Lintott
W Lintott jumps down the track and hits it down to long-on, who takes a diving catch. Fuller delivery on the off, the batter runs down as he had to. He skies the ball in the air but gets no timing. The ball lops up but has no leg. Taken by Bancroft. This is the final nail in the coffin by Gloucestershire against the Bears.
