That is the end of our live coverage as well. I hope you have enjoyed it the most. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, your text commentator, signing off on behalf of our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar, who brought you all the live-action of this cracking T20 Blast fixture. More actions are coming your way. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!
Jamie Overton: "It was a phenomenal knock from Sam Curran. I can't say more about it. The innings was ridiculous from Curran. Fairplay to him; he has taken us over the line in a crunch game and sealed us a homer quarter-final.

Absolutely. We knew that Curran could play such a knock. In fact, we back everyone in the team to play match-winning innings. It takes one guy in each match to stand up for us. Curran has done it tonight and it is one of the special knocks.

Hampshire are a great side. They showed in the last 10-15 years that they are a great T20 and a white-ball side. We were expecting it to be a tough game and its great to get over the line.

We weren't at our best on the field. A few misfields. Probably, we were not quite up there on the field. But our bowlers bowled well and kept striking.

Yeah, the home quarter-finals feels great. To play the knockout in front of our home crowd is a big thing. They are the 12th man for us. Hopefully, we can win the home quarters and quality to the finals day."
2 AM IST and 9:33 PM Local Time: Wow! Sam Curran with a banger performance at his home ground to seal the home quarter-final for Surrey! The hosts defeat Hampshire Hawks by 5 wickets in a big chase and win the game with 5 balls to spare!

Earlier in the match, Surrey won the toss and opted to bowl first. They struck at regular intervals, but the Hampshire batters managed to score at a good pace before getting bundled out for 183 in 19.5 overs. Plenty of Hampshire batters got the starts but only Toby Albert converted to a good knock, scoring his maiden T20 fifty and was the last batter to get out for his career-best 66 in 45 balls. While James Vince hit a few quick runs opening the batting, Liam Dawson and Eddie Jack supported Albert with handy cameos.

For Surrey, Jordan Clark was the pick of the bowlers with a three-wicket haul, while Matt Dunn bagged 2 scalps. One each wicket for Cameron Steel and Tom Lawes, while three of the Hampshire batters were run out.

Surrey started with a bang when Will Jacks slammed the first ball of the chase downtown for a maximum but soon lost a flurry of wickets to find themselves in trouble at 3/27 inside the powerplay.

Sam Curran was the aggressor in the 86-run 4th wicket partnership with Dom Sibley, who anchored with a 24-ball 27. Jamie Overton (21 off 12) hurt Hampshire with a smart cameo and added a quickfire 54-run partnership for the 5th wicket with Curran, who was going berserk at the other end.

Curran was so calm under pressure and struck 7 fours and 6 sixes in his unbeaten knock of 102 off 58 balls. It was his first T20 century, and he brought that up with a lusty blow down the ground, which was also the last hit in the match.

Surrey needed 2 runs to win in 7 balls, and Jordan (4* off 2) blocked the final ball off the penultimate ball to hand Curran the strike for the final over and allow him to complete the century.

Brad Wheal and John Andrew Turner grabbed two scalps each, while Eddie Jack picked up one wicket. Three of them bowled their hearts out, but the rest of the bowling attack failed to provide any decent support.

Surrey stay at the top of South Group with 20 points and will play their quarter-final match at the Oval!
19.1 J Fuller to S Curran
6 SIXXXXX!!! HOW ABOUT THAT FOR A FINISHING? Sam Curran, with a special T20 knock and, is pumped up with it! He gets a warm hug from his skipper, Chris Jordan, and gets a massive reception from the Oval crowd! Over the wicket. Full outside the off stump. Right in the arc for Curran, who gets underneath it and smokes it high and handsome over long on for a big six. He gets to his maiden T20 hundred in 58 balls! His career-best innings in the format and what a place to do it. His first game of the season at his home ground, and he brings out a banger match-winning performance! Surrey win by 5 wickets in a high-scoring contest to add miseries to Hampshire!
Surrey need 2 in the last 6 balls. Curran is on 96! James Fuller will bowl the final over.

0 Good length on the stumps. Jordan tucks it to short mid wicket. Wheal finishes with 2/42!
Jordan has a chat with Curran.
18.5 B Wheal to S Curran
1 Full around the off stump. Curran backs away and squeezes it to extra cover for one.
18.4 B Wheal to S Curran
0 Full on the leg stump. Curran whips it to the right of diving deep square leg and denies the single to Jordan. Guess what? Curran wants the 100!
18.3 B Wheal to S Curran
6 SIXXXX!!! Sam Curran moves into the 90s with a lucky six! Short on the body of the batter. Curran gets low on the back foot and swivels with a pull. Cramped for space but gets enough contact to help it on its way to deep fine leg. James Fuller takes the catch right at the edge of the bigger circle and he fails to balance himself. Goes over the fence and throws the ball in the air that falls outside the boundary.
18.2 B Wheal to S Curran
4 FOURRRR!!! Curran can do no wrong tonight! Full outside off. Curran gets underneath it and lofts it over the head of the bowler for a boundary.
18.1 B Wheal to S Curran
0 Over the wicket. Full down the leg side. Should have been put away by Curran, who misses the whip onto the side of the pads. Keeper dives across to his right and grabs it.
A change of bat for Jordan. Surrey need 13 in 12 balls. Brad Wheal is back into the attack.

4 FOURRRR!!! Chris Jordan is in at 7 and gets a gift to get off the mark! Short and down the leg side. Easy pickings for Jordan, who gets inside its line and helps it on its way to pull it past the dive of the keeper to his left for a boundary. Turner is frustrated with himself and yells in disappointment.
