That's it from the coverage of this game. Do join us back in a bit for the next MPL game soon and switch tabs to catch all the action from the T20 World Cup and T20 Blast. Plenty happening in our network across formats.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Rahul Tripathi (Kolhapur Tuskers Captain)- I'm glad that we got such a good start in the powerplay as things get tough post that. It has been two good days for me and Bawne and we have had two good partnerships. The bowlers did really well and they're trying to improve. They will do even better in the coming days for sure. It's important for us to convert the starts and I'm happy to have done it today. The credit goes to Abhishek Nayar, our coach. The tactics worked out well and I'm glad for that.
Player of the Match: Rahul Tripathi.
Murtaza Trunkwala (CSK Captain): "Yes, we had a plan. He was striking the ball well and sent the in form batter. It happens. Yes, I mean Rahul and Ankit batted outstandingly well and the bowlers could have done better, but they deserve the win. Can't say much. Rain affected game and we were about to launch but rain came in. When the chase started, the ball was wet. We could have been more clinical and brave when the pressure was on. I think these are the learnings. These things happen and hope to bounce back later on in the tournament."
17:41 IST and Local time- Rahul Tripathi finishes things off in style and the Kolhapur Tuskers have scripted here as they've chased down their total with 10 wickets intact! This is the first time that such a feat has been achieved in the Maharashtra Premier League. The Tuskers have also opened their account in the tournament with this victory. Tripathi remains unbeaten on 67 from just 29 balls while Ankit Bawne played second fiddle as he scored 26 runs from just 15 balls.

The Kolhapur Tuskers came in with a plan and they came out all guns blazing! Rahul Tripathi scored 22 runs of the second over and it set them up for the run chase in the powerplay where they went all guns blazing. The fifty partnership came up inside five overs and things looked very bleak for the CSK from there on.

The bowlers were all over the place as the likes of Hangargekar, Thenge or Valunj were smashed all over the park. They were caught in the middle of a storm and they couldn't recover from there onwards. The wickets didn't fall and it didn't help their cause either. They can count themselves unlucky as the rain interruption changed things up completely and got the equation against them as they had to defend a meagre total of only 93 runs from 11 overs.
7.2 R Hangargekar to R Tripathi
4 FOUR! That's it. End of the game! Fuller length on the pads, Tripathi picks it up and flicks it away through the midwicket region as the ball races away to the fence for a boundary to end the contest. So, the Tuskers win this by 10 wickets under the DLS method and gets their first win this season.
7.1 R Hangargekar to R Tripathi
4 FOUR! Over the wicket. Full toss outside the leg stump, Tripathi moves across and plays the lap shot over the keeper and away it goes to the fence. One bounce and over the ropes.
