Milestone
That's it from the 9th T20 of the MPL Season 2024.
I, Aditya Agarwal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Hiren who alongwith scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar brought you all the coverage of this match. Stay tuned for more cricketing action! Till then, Goodbye!
Murtaza Trunkwala (CSK Captain): "I think very good especially after yesterday's game. We came back strong and showed the character of the boys. We defended 160 odd after 180 was not defended yesterday. I think it is an all round effort. 165 was par score and bowlers did well to defend it. Wicket was playing ok and we knew 160-170 was defended. We ended our innings with Raj hitting sixes and then we started well with the ball. I think staying in the present and staying humble will help. The boys are doing well and have the self belief and we hope to get more wins and continue the good work."
Rajvardhan Hangarkerkar (POTM)-" Really happy with my individual  performance and my team performance. I have confidence in my skills and I know i can hit the balls long if it is in my radar. I talked to my support staff before the match and they helped me in correcting my line and length. I look up to the likes of Jasprit Bumrah as my inspiration."
Player of the Match: Rajvardhan Hangarkerkar.
Prashant Solanki (ENT Captain): "I feel, just the last match that we left a lot at the end and that's why we lost today. Yes, I mean it's the early stage and we are searching. Today it did not go our way, let's see how it goes in the coming matches. I mean any kind of chase sets the tone. We did not get a good powerplay and a lot of dot balls as well. As I said, we have left a lot at the end and lost it. My job is to come and take wickets in the team. Happy to contribute to the team's cause. Learnings are that whatever the total is, the intent needs to be right up there. Today's intent was not there and we lost it compared to the previous games. It was here and there. So, a long tournament to go and I am confident the boys will bounce back in the coming games."
22:49 IST and Local Time | Eagle Nashik Titans won the toss and opted to bowl first. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings started off on a low note as they lost their skipper in very first over of the innings. Onkar Khatpe and Saurabh Nawale consolidated the innings and managed to score a partnership of 35 runs. After the powerplay the Eagle Nashik Titan's bowlers tightened the screws, thanks to Prashant Solanki and Digvijay Deshkmukh. Few back to back wickets in the middle overs pushed back the run rate of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings .
Late blitz by Rajvardhan Hangarkerkar and Digvijay Jadhav helped  CSK to post a respectable score of 165 for the loss of 9 wickets. Prashant Solanki was the pick of the bowlers for ENT by picking 3 wickets. He was well supported by Arshin Kulkarni and Digvijay Deshmukh who bagged 2 wickets apiece.
Chasing 166, Eagle Nashik Titans got off to a worst possible start in the powerplay as they finished it with a score of mere 28 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. CSK opening bowlers bowled an excellent opening spell as they never let ENT go over the required run rate. They were well supported by Rajvardhan Hangarkerkar from other end who bowled with raw pace today testing the batsman as he finished with figures of 18 for 3.
Apart from Ranjit Nikam, who scored 52* runs in 43 balls, none of the batters contributed to the team's cause. And constant wickets at regular intervals meant that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings win their 3rd game on trot with 47 runs victory over Eagle Nashik Titans.
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings win the match by 47 runs.
19.5 S Kazi to M Choudhary
W WICKET! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! That's the end of the game! Tosses it up fuller and in the slot, Mukesh goes for the big one and gets the height and not the distance. The catch is taken at long-off where the fielder takes the catch. Mukesh departs as ENT have been bowled out for 118 in 19.5 overs. A win by 47 runs for CSK.
