Milestone
That is the end of our coverage as well. It was a fantastic game of cricket in which the San Francisco Unicorns beat the Seattle Orcas on a pitch that behaved differently in the second half of each inning. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma, who brought you all the live-action of this mouth-watering fixture. We will meet again in another game. Until then, its cheers!
Corey Anderson (San Francisco Unicorns Captain): "Yeah, I mean it was pretty good. The new ball came on nicely but once it slowed down, it became tough.

Yeah massively, huge praises for him (Sanjay Krishnamurthi). He's a young lad and 20 odd on a wicket like that was good to see.

He (Pat Cummins) is a world class player. Just to have him in the group, sharing his knowledge with the youngsters. He did the job today that was required off him.

I think you want to try and win every game. We go to Dallas now. We will see how to plan that game and would look to get on a roll now."
Heinrich Klaasen (Seattle Orcas Captain): "Yeah once again, not batting well. Losing key players at the back end. Need more experience to close the games out.

The bowlers have been fantastic so far but batters need to step up. There's a reason why we wanted him (Shehan Jayasuriya) at the top of the order. With QDK in the middle, it gives us experience as well.

Yeah, we think so. A win here and there and we can hopefully get to the playoffs."
Liam Plunkett (Player of the match): "Yeah the way they batted in the powerplay, it looked going only one way but after the break, we come back well.

The plan was to maximise the phase when the ball got older and it paid off."
Most Valuable Player of the Day: Liam Plunkett
Play of the Day: Sehan Jayasuriya
Longest Six of the Match: 325 feet hit by Matthew Short
4:43 AM IST and 7:13 PM Local Time: We are ready with the post-match presentations...
STAT ATTACK: Liam Plunkett has completed 150 wickets in T20s.
Matthew Short: "It felt nice to bat out here. My role was to attack in the top six while the ball is still new. I am happy to be batting at the top of the order. I am happy to see the coach sending me to bat in the top six; I am sorry to get batting in the first six overs.

Rickelton was in fine form, and so was de Kock, but I think the wicket was in my favour. It was spinning, and it was a bit skiddy.

We have been a bit unlucky with the rain, but in a short tournament like this, every game is critical.

We'll go to Dallas next. We have played there earlier, so we know the conditions very well. I'm looking forward to those games and to some night games."
Good to see Carmi le Roux back on his feet. He was earlier hit on the side of the face when Rickelton smashed one back towards the left-arm pacer, who had nowhere to go on his follow-through. Le Roux has a bandage covering his left ear. Hopefully, he is okay! It looked horrible at live!
4:34 AM IST & 7:04 PM Local Time: The San Francisco Unicorns secured a convincing 23-run victory over the Seattle Orcas. Despite losing a bowler to a freak injury, the Unicorns effectively restricted the Orcas to 142/6 in their chase of 166. Liam Plunkett was the standout performer with the ball, finishing with impressive figures of 3/26. With this win, the Unicorns move up to 3rd place on the points table.

Earlier, Seattle Orcas won the toss and chose to bat first. Jake Fraser-McGurk struggled again at the top of the order, scoring just 11 off 10 before losing his leg stump to Imad Wasim.

However, Matthew Short and Finn Allen partnered for 75 runs for the second wicket, shifting the momentum in favor of the Unicorns.

The next three wickets fell within 25 balls, but Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Hassan Khan added 31 runs for the 6th wicket.

Pat Cummins remained unbeaten on 6 off 8 as the Unicorns posted 165/7 in their 20 overs.

In response, Ryan Rickelton and Shehan Jayasuriya put together 76 runs for the first wicket before the former was dismissed.

The Orcas faced a mini-collapse, losing 4 wickets in 30 balls. Harmeet Singh and Hammad Azam contributed 30 off 21 for the 6th wicket, giving the Orcas some hope.

However, Liam Plunkett’s 3/26 effectively sealed the game for the Unicorns.

With 28 runs needed off the last over, Rauf conceded just 4 runs, securing the victory for his team. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.
