Mohammad Rizwan (Player of the Match)- "If you look at the whole match, they have played really well. I always enjoy batting with Fakhar. Ireland bowlers know the conditions well and they gave us a lot of difficulties early on.
If you lose, you will always be on pressure. We have one of the best attacks with Shaheen-Amir-Naseem but they know the condition well. I don't look at my numbers. If you look at average, you will be a average player. I would like to look at the conditions. I have a lot of respect for Virat Kohli(on becoming the second cricketer to have 50+ batting average in T-20I.)"

Babar Azam(Pakistan Captain): "Yeah, it is a big relief to win this one. Credit to the batters. After the first innings, we decided to chase it down by the 18th or 19th over. We lost two early wickets but good comeback from Zaman and Rizwan.
I think we were not able to finish the bowling well. We should have restricted them to 170-180 in my opinion. Both Zaman and Rizwan are experienced and they played according to situations.
Tuesday is a massive game. They are good side and have some experienced players. We are excited to play here and looking forward to the next game."

hard to tell what was a par score here but at the half way stage we thought of having
a good chance at defending it.

For Ireland, their openers were dismissed cheaply today but their middle order was brilliant. Lorcan Tucker was the pick of the batters for them and scored a brilliant fifty. Gareth Delany gave a good finish in the end and scored 28* off just 10 balls and helped his team cross that 190 mark.
Coming to the chase, Pakistan lost a couple of early wickets but did well to bounce back in the middle overs. Mohammad Rizwan was brilliant at the top today and scored 75* off just 46 balls.
