That's all from this nail-biter, folks! For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. CHEERS!
2:03 AM IST, 21:33 Local Time: PHEW! What a game of cricket we have witnessed! David Payne, with nerves of steel, conceded just 5 runs in the final over of the match, forcing the match to end in a tie. Both sides will share one point each.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Miles Hammond ( 33 off 25) and Cameron Bancroft (32 off 26) provided a solid start for Gloucestershire, adding 67 runs for the first wicket. Following the wickets of both openers, Gloucestershire lost a couple of wickets in quick succession, but Beau Webster (40 off 31) and Ben Charlesworth (24 off 16) contributed valuable runs and helped their side touch the 170-run mark. Graeme van Buuren's unbeaten 13 runs at the tail end of the innings was the other positive for Gloucestershire.

Gus Atkinson, Daniel Lawrence, Tom Curran, Sean Abbott, and Jordan Clark shared a wicket each for Surrey.

In pursuit of 170 runs, Surrey lost Daniel Lawrence (4) and Laurie Evans (6) cheaply inside the powerplay. However, Jason Roy (55) and Ollie Pope (48) added 96 runs for the third wicket and almost took the game away from Gloucestershire.

Gloucestershire bowlers staged a comeback in the death over of the innings and bowled tightly, extracting a flurry of wickets. Tom Curran (18 off 10) and Jamie Smith (20 off 8) looked in sublime touch but failed to bat till the end.

With just 6 needed off the final over, David Payne bowled a sensational over, conceding just 5 runs and grabbing a couple of wickets to end the match in a tie. He finished with the figures of 3/37. MD Taylor also bagged a 3-fer and conceded 27 runs in his 4-over quota, while Josh Shaw and Marchant de Lange celebrated a solitary wicket.

W WICKET! RUN-OUT! Would you believe it! The match is tied! An extraordinary bowling display by David Payne in the final over! Yorker on the middle stump line. Clark digs it out back towards the bowler, who collects the ball and whips off the bails at the bowler's end! No chance of a run here and Clark is run out at the bowler's end. A nail-biting contest and both sides will share one point each.
The scores are level now. Payne is making some field adjustments.
