That's it from our end from this ODI between England Women and Ireland Women, but cricket coverage never takes a break on CREX! Stay tuned for the lightning-quick coverage of all the cricket matches from across the globe and much more!

Please join us for other enthralling games, but until then, Arjun Bhalla is signing off on behalf of my colleagues - Hrutuja Deshmukh, Soumarya Dutta, and Raju Khariya
Kate Cross (Winning Captain and POTM): "Thanks for the box of chocolates (for winning the Player of the Match). I felt in a good rhythm since the Hundred. I really enjoy bowling in the ODIs. But apart from me and Fifer, there were 30 overs from the spinners.

It was a great pitch, and the girls told me that if we had batted first, we would have put 270 runs on the board.

Bess Heath performed exceptionally, especially after the unfortunate runout with Mady Villiers. She wanted to be there and shake hands in the end.

We will look to work on the mistakes that we made today and come back stronger on Monday (for the second WODI)."

Gaby Lewis (Captain Ireland Women): It wasn't our day today but we will bounce back stronger, I know my mates are capable of putting big scores and we did bowl well today but I think if all the batters today made 70+ then it would have a different scene.

We weren't good in the field as well and we will go back tonight and think about it. I think our potential was not shown today, and will show in the matches to come.
9:04 PM IST and 4:34 PM Local Time: England Women have finally chased it down in the first ODI against Ireland Women by four wickets with 91 balls to spare.

They take a one-nil lead in the three-match series. Kate Cross, who snapped six wickets on her England captaincy debut earlier, helped her side go over the line with her unbeaten 38 not out. Cross was assisted by Bess Heath, who scored a well-nurtured 33*

The Irish bowlers, particularly Orla Prendergast, had a tidy start to the innings with the ball as she scalped Emma Lamb's and Tammy Beaumont's wickets in the first seven overs of the chase.

However, Hollie Armitage and Paige Scholfield revived England’s innings with their calming 62-run partnership from two early blows. But the Irish spinners then spun a perfect web with regular wickets, sinking England’s middle-order batters.

With the scoreboard reading 156/6 in a chase of 211 runs, skipper Kate Cross came out to the middle and joined forces with Bess Heath. The duo shared an unbeaten stand of 55 runs to take their side home in Belfast.

Earlier in the day, England bowlers had a great time with the ball as they sent both the Irish opener back in the hut on the score of 21/2. But - just like the English batters - Ireland had a revival to the innings after losing two early wickets. Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast shared 53 runs for the third wicket before Prendergast shared a 77-run stand with Leah Paul for the fourth one.

However, the Irish lost the plot against Kate Cross and the spinners, as they were reduced to 210 all-out from being at 151/3 at one stage.
That's it, what a win for the England Women in their first ODI against Ireland of this tour, England Tour of Ireland. England won by 4 wickets!

4 FOUR!!!! Overpitched on the off and Kate hits an excellent cover drive, piercing the gap between the fielders of covers and mid-off for a boundary. Showing some class over here Kate.
