So, that's it from the coverage of this game. There is one more LPL game coming your way tonight. Switch tabs to follow that match and stay tuned to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe and across formats. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey alongside scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Charith Asalanka (Jaffna Kings Captain)  : "Thank you so much. I should give credit to the bowlers first because once I thought they could have gone to 220 but we fought back really well.

(On Rilee Rossouw) The thinking was just that we just told him to bat at Number 3 and he was very happy with that call. Lets hope we continue our good form in our next game at Colombo."
Thisara Perera (Colombo Strikers Captain): "Yes, it's a tough day. We started well and then put the runs on the board but lost the plot. We gave some chance to Gurbaz as he is a proper keeper. Sadeera can keep and then also can field. I think there are areas to work on, but Rilee played really well and outplayed us. They deserve the win in the end. We will bounce back for sure."
Rilee Rossouw (Player of the Match) : "Yeah we moved to this ground from Kandy and I enjoyed my batting over here. I just assessed the pitch and wanted to have a positive intent when I go out to bat. I always enjoy batting at Number 3 and it works out well for me."
Player of the Match: Rilee Rossouw.
Time for the Post Match Presentations.
6:35 PM IST and Local Time: That's it! Skipper Charith Asalanka hits the winning runs but this has been the Rilee Rossouw show as his unbeaten 108* has taken the Jaffna Kings over the line with 7 wickets and 9 balls to spare. They have played better than the Strikers and deserve the win in the end. The Kings stays at the top of the points table this season.

Chasing 189 for the win, the Jaffna Kings did not get off to the best possible start as they lost Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka early. But then it was the Rilee Rossouw show and ably aided by Avishka Fernando that they got over the line so easily. Rossouw was the star with 108* off 50 balls while Avishka scored 58 off 35 balls. Charith Asalanka came and hit the winning runs and stayed unbeaten on 11* off 8 balls. 2 extras given by the fielding side as the target was achieved in 18.3 overs.

A hard day for the Colombo Strikers with the ball. A wicket apiece for Dunith Wellalage, Taskin Ahmed, and Shadab Khan. They were sloppy in the outfield and dropped catches especially Gurbaz behind the stumps. Tough day for them.

Earlier in the game, the Strikers were put into bat first by the Kings. The Strikers got off the blocks courtesy Rahmanullah Gurbaz who went all guns blazing initially in his 27 off 11 balls before giving it away. Angelo Perera looked good for his 34 off 30 balls before retiring due to a delayed concussion and was substituted for the match. Glenn Phillips was the star with the bat for the Strikers scoring 58 off 32 balls. Skipper Thisara Perera scored 13 off 9 balls. Dunith Wellalage scored 13 off 10 balls while Taskin Ahmed remained unbeaten on 15* off 10 balls. 10 extras given by the fielding side as the Strikers who looked good for 200+ were kept down to 188/8 in 20 overs.

The Kings were taken to the cleaners but they came back well in the end overs. Couple of wickets apiece for Azmatullah Omarzai and Asitha Fernando while Pramod Madushan, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Fabian Allen picked up a wicket apiece.

So, the Jaffna Kings win this game over Colombo Strikers by 7 wickets with 9 balls to spare to go top of the points table. Stay tuned for the presentations.
