That brings us to the end of our live coverage of this Women's Asia Cup 2024 game between the Pakistan Women and UAE Women. For now, it's the pair of Soumarya Dutta and Akshay Bhide, signing off along with our Scorer/Analyst Manish Bishnoi.
Nida Dar (Pakistan Women Captain): " We spoke to the batting unit and they played with positive intent. Against India we didn't execute our plans well but we sat down and got our plans in place. I wanted to give other bowlers the chance to do the job so came in late in the innings."
Gul Feroza (Player of the Match): "I'm just enjoying my time. Just try to go with the plan.

I think I took confidence from my last game and try to play the same knock.

I tried my level best. There is no such plan to take down the spinners. I try to keep it simple."
Player of the Match: Gul Feroza
Esha Oza (UAE Women Captain): "Every game is a learning experience. When it is a short tournament of just three games, you have to put your best foot forward in the first game.

We wanted to go above the run-a-ball minimum. Anything around 140-150 would have been a good score.

We had the opportunity. When you are playing against the high-quality players, you can't give them second chances.

We played the first Asia Cup in 2022. Our team has grown a fair bit. After this tournament, we will certainly go upwards."
16:47 IST and Local Time-  A thumping 10 wicket victory for Pakistan Women as they've crushed UAE Women in just 14.1 overs here. It has been a 107 run opening stand between Gul Feroza and Muneeba Ali and this pair is proving to be a real handful for the Pakistanis. UAE were completely outplayed as Feroza and Ali launched an onslaught on them. Feroza picked up a fifty as she remained unbeaten on 65. Muneeba remained unbeaten on 37.

Pakistan Women were a bit tentative to start things off and Gul Feroza was dropped early on. She got a few streaky boundaries as well but settled down into her groove later on. Muneeba Ali was playing second fiddle but UAE almost had her when she appeared to have been stumped of Heena's bowling but the third umpire reckoned otherwise.

Pakistan batters accelerated post the powerplay as Feroza took the charge. Muneeba continued to rotate the strike as the pair navigated through the spinners and gave a really hard time to the seamers. By the halfway stage of the innings, the game had already slipped away from UAE's hands.

Among the bowlers, Heena Hotchandani was impressive as was Kotte but the rest of the bowlers didn't do anything to write home about. They will be disappointed with the dropped chance of Muneeba Ali but it wouldn't have counted for much in the end. It's a tough result for the UAE Women and they will have a lot of soul searching to do from here on.
14.1 I Nandakumar to M Ali
4 FOUR!!! That's the end of this fixture. Over the wicket, length delivery angled across outside off, Muneeba stands still and throws her hands at it. She slices it over backward point. The fielder runs after it but comes second as the ball wins the race. With this, Pakistan Women beat UAE Women by 10 wickets.
Just a run required now from the final six overs of the innings.
