That’s all we have for you from this encounter between India Women and UAE Women.

For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentators Pritam Dey and Ajay Pal Singh who, along with scorer/analysts Yogesh Kumar brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "Yeah I am absolutely alright. It was a great feeling especially the way we batted. We wanted to stay at the wicket and I told Richa to back herself and I think she batted really well. My role was to stay at the wicket and capitalize on the loose balls.

The way Richa Ghosh batted I feel she took the pressure off me and I am really happy with the way we played in this game. Yeah definitely, today also despite losing 3 quick wickets, everyone played according to the situation and really pleased with the performance tonight."
Richa Ghosh (Player of the Match): "I am really happy because when I play with Harry di (Harmanpreet Kaur), she always guides me on how the ball is coming onto the bat and the behavior of the pitch, so I really enjoy it. When I get the chance, I just want to perform based on what I know and have been practicing. The first cover drive was my favorite. (On concussion recovery) Yeah, I am feeling good now."
Player of the Match: Richa Ghosh
Esha Oza (UAE Women Captain): "Well they were a really experienced side and it was really hard to build an Innings for us. We saw how they played the entire game and we need to learn a lot from them.

We bowled really well in the first half of the Innings with the ball but after picking up 3 wickets, we couldn't keep the pressure on them as the took the game away from us and finished off really well. We have a game in our hands versus Pakistan Women and we will look to score more with the bat."
Time for the post-match presentation...
17:16 IST & Local Time | A comprehensive win once again for the Women in Blue as they defeated UAE Women by 78 runs. With 2 wins on the trot in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024, Team India are firmly in place to book their spot in the Semi-Finals of the Asia Cup 2024.

Earlier in the day, India Women were put into bat by Esha Oza. Both the Indian openers got off to a decent start with some real positive intent inside the powerplay.

3 quick wickets in 3 overs got UAE Women back in the game as India were 52/3 inside the powerplay. The partnership between the Indian Skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues added 54 runs before the latter was dismissed for 14.

As the Innings progressed, both Harmanpreet Kaur (66 off 47) and Richa Ghosh (64* off 29) pressed the acceleration button as India Women ended up their Innings with 201/5 in their 20 overs. Richa Ghosh smashed 5 fours in a row in the final over to bring up the highest score by India Women in WT20Is as well as the women’s highest total in Asia Cup History. UAE Women required a massive score of 202 runs to chase in their 20 overs.

In Reply, UAE Openers got off to a conservative start with the bat but were also kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The 4th wicket partnership between Esha Oza and Kavisha Egodage who added 40 runs together looked the only promising phase for UAE in the chase. Kavisha Egodage ended up being the highest run scorer in the Innings with an unbeaten 40 off 32 balls.

Deepti Sharma (2/23) was the pick of the bowlers for India while the rest picked up a wicket each. India Women win by 78 runs against UAE Women and are currently sitting at the top of the Points Table in Group A. Stay tuned for the Post Match Presentations.
