Shubman Gill (India Captain): "Excellent series. As you mentioned, the hunger to perform after the loss in the first game was phenomenal. The conversation at the toss was good, too.

We didn't have enough time on the nets when we arrived here. A lot of the players had long flights; they weren't used to the conditions. A lot of players didn't have a long hit on the nets. But as the series progressed, we adapted nicely. It was great to see.

I have been to Sri Lanka once earlier in my career, and that was to play in the Asia Cup. I am looking forward to the series."

Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "I thought Blessing bowled well throughout the series. Batting wise, we're still below par. Below the order, we're having a lot of problem. I think we have improved a lot there. One grey area that remains has to be the body language in the field.

It was unfortunate that Richie [Richard Ngarava] was not fit at the start of the year. As you have seen he was in the ICC Team of the Year previously. Richie and Blessing have been brilliantly. My shoulder is not 100 percent. I need to be a guy who is fit. It’s not just about hogging onto a jersey. I want to play domestic cricket, the four-day cricket, and see if I can fit in the Test team later.

I leave for the Manchester Originals for the Hundred in a while. Hopefully, I do well there."

Washington Sundar (Player of the Series): "I am someone who always likes to smile. It is good to finish the series with a win.

After the first game, it was very similar to South Africa. We were in South Africa 6 months back, and the conditions were quite similar there. Getting that extra speed and extra bounce and extracted that here as well. Good to get five games to play, and we had enough time to get a lot of information about the condition.

There are a lot of takeaways and learnings from the series to Sri Lanka series; I bowled a lot in this series. We had a lot of success as a team."

Shivam Dube (Player of the Match): "It's always a special thing for me to contribute in both the departments as an all-rounder. So, it feels good to me. Yeah, definitely, that's a T20 game. If you struggle, and one shot, you’re back in the game. Be positive and try to hit the bowler. The ground is a little big for us, but yeah, we enjoyed playing here. The atmosphere has been beautiful here."

Abhishek Sharma: "Hundred percent. With the bat, I said, after the first match, we all woke up. We actually didn’t get much time to think about that match. The next game was in the next day itself. It’s a similar feeling for me as always. We were talking in the IPL as well. It would be nice to get our debut soon. We didn’t think that we would be making our debut together. But yeah, the stars aligned.

I think special mention to Shubman and the coaches that believed in me. I didn’t bowl as much and didn't bowl well also. I am always grateful for that. I am really working hard on my bowling. I knew that if I am getting selected for the national team, I will have to bowl also.

We all saw, the last four or five overs. Its always a big thing when we’re playing Pakistan. Yes, congratulations to my mentor (Yuvraj Singh) on the win."

Riyan Parag: "Feels great. After the first game, everyone woke up. We showed everyone how clinical we can be irrespective of how the opponents played. Enjoyed it to the max.

Actually, we both opened the jerseys together. Hang on! I went to Abhishek's room, and there we opened the jerseys. We played together in the Under-19 World Cup and next 6 years we did not play. Very special to do it with him. It feels special to do it together.

Yeah, I would have loved to continue with the innings. But I had a chat with Samson, who said that now, it's time to continue with the partnership and start hitting. So, the thinking was correct, but the execution was wrong there. Once we had wickets in the end, we could go like hell, and it was a tricky wicket; I'm glad we could do well.

It doesn't feel like a transition. We have played together from the Under-16s. Of course, we are playing for the country. Gill has done his job with the bat and in captaincy. He has been exceptional.

We will try to watch the Euro finals, but first, we need to figure out the channel."
