Ruturaj Gaikwad helped me in keeping perspective. We spoke after every ball and he helped me as well. He asked me to bat long and said that hitting balls would come my way.

Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "Yeah, listen, the World Champions will eventually play like World Champions. The wicket was good. You were going to get hit if you missed your mark. But I thought our fielding was not up to the mark. Four catches hurt us.
I expected 200. I feel they got 30-40 runs more. Things would have been different had we got a good start. But again, the top-order is not scoring consistently as we would have liked.
Blessing has been our go-to guy for us since the Bangladesh series. As I said before, his graph is going to get better and he will keep bowling in the same way as long as he is fit.

The things were set up nicely by the Indian batters which helped them post a mammoth total on the board. The bowlers then stepped up and defended it successfully to grab their first win on this tour.
Chasing 235 was always going to be an uphill task for Zimbabwe and they got off to a worst possible start. Innocent Kaia (4) was cleaned in the very first over. Brian Bennet came out all guns blazing and played a fantastic cameo of 9-ball 26 before losing his stumps in the third over. Avesh Khan dismissed Dion Myers (0) and skipper Sikandar Raza (4) as the scoreboard read 58/4 at the end of the powerplay.
Wessly Madhevere struggled to get going. He along with Johnathan Campbell tried to build a partnership but the latter fell on 10 while trying to up the ante. Clive Madande fell without troubling the scorers. Madhevere’s fighting knock of 43 came to an end in the 17th over. Luke Jongwe scored 33 before falling in the penultimate over as Zimbabwe got bundled out on 134 to lose the game by 100 runs. For India, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan picked up three wickets each. Ravi Bishnoi also chipped in with two scalps.
