That’s all from this contest, folks! Welsh Fire Women secure their place in the top three and are likely to advance straight to the final, courtesy of their impressive net run rate. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. A special mention to Ajay Pal Singh for his valuable insights throughout the game. CHEERS!
Charlotte Edwards (Southern Brave Women's Coach): "I think as a unit we have been miles off this season, we have a lot of learnings to take from this one. Tonight as well, I think we should have built up some partnerships rather than depending on Chloe Tryon to do it all alone. Obviously we will come back stronger next season.

Its been a long tournament but the disappointing thing was that we couldn't finish the season on a high at our home ground. (On Georgia Adams) Well she has been brilliant for us. I have really liked her attitude and the way she has taken the decisions. She has bowled herself more than often which I think was required. The planning for the next season will start around the Christmas and hopefully we will come back stronger next season."
Hayley Kristen Matthew (Hero of the Match): "I think the wickets are getting tired and I am getting a lot of advantage from it. Yeah I think it eases a lot to bat at Number 3 along side some of the greats at the top of the order. It was great to see Tammy get some runs today before our knockout games.

We have a lot of experienced players in our squad. The bowlers have done a brilliant job for us to make sure we don't have to chase a big total in any games. Well I do try to practice some long catches in the practice session so I don't get panicked when the ball comes to me.

Its a massive opportunity for us to play at the Lord's and lets see how the other results goes. Yeah we will be watching the game later tonight and will surely be rooting for the Trent Rockets."

Welsh Fire Women have qualified for the playoffs in the Women's Hundred 2024.
6:17 PM IST, 13:47 Local Time: A comprehensive victory for Welsh Fire Women as they secure their place in the playoffs of the ongoing Women's Hundred. They surpassed Brave's total with 9 wickets in hand and 26 balls to spare.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, the Southern Brave Women got off to a shaky start as they lost wickets in clusters from the outset and were reeling at 47/7 in 59 balls. Chloe Tryon and Rhianna Southby started the rescue mission, and the pair did a tremendous job to put the batting back on track. They added 50+ runs for the eighth wicket and propelled Brave’s score to 103 runs. Tryon contributed a valuable 55 runs off 38 balls, while Southby scored 15 runs off 17 balls, playing the second fiddle in the partnership.

Hayley Matthews wreaked havoc with the ball for Welsh Fire, claiming four wickets for just 14 runs in her spell. Jess Jonassen also proved too hot to handle for Brave batters, with the left-arm spinner grabbing three wickets. Freya Davies and Shabnim Ismail contributed 2 and 1 wickets, respectively, to Brave’s downfall.

In pursuit of 103 runs, Tammy Beaumont provided a rollicking start to Welsh Fire. She took on Brave bowlers and scored briskly but didn’t get support from Sophia Dunkley, who looked sluggish and departed for just 7 runs off 9 balls.

Hayley Matthews (35* off 26)  joined Beaumont (59* off 40) at number three and the pair kept moving the scoreboard rapidly, and the latter notched up her fifty in the process. They added an unbeaten 72 runs for the second wicket and helped their side cross the line with 26 balls to spare.

Lauren Bell was the only Southern Brave bowler to take a wicket.
