That's it from our coverage of match 25 in the Women's Hundred competition. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Sterre Kalis (Hero of the Match): "Yeah, I struggled a bit at the start with the pitch and probably allowed the bowler to dictate terms. I should have been more aggressive from the outset. But I hung in there, eventually found my rhythm, and felt better as the innings progressed.

Yeah, I’m really happy with the opportunity to bat up top this year. It’s something I’ve really wanted, and I truly appreciate getting that chance. We had a good win today, and with two more games left, hopefully, we can maintain this momentum and stay strong in the campaign.

Yeah, definitely credit to Pez early on and to the spinners, Levick and Baker, who always do a great job for us. Even though it wasn’t the highest total to defend, the bowlers performed well once again."
Hero of the Match: Sterre Kalis
10:01 PM IST, 5:31 PM Local Time: The Birmingham Phoenix defeat table toppers Welsh Fire by nine runs and keep themselves alive in the competition.

After winning the toss, Fire elected to bowl first. Sterre Kalis scored 55 and Hayley Matthews picked up 3/32 for her side as Phoenix finished with 121/7 on the board.

Matthews looked good with the bat as well top scoring with 35 in 38 balls for the Fire with Jess Jonassen hitting 28 in 22 deliveries. Opposition skipper Ellyse Perry stunned with 2/9 bowling a set with 2 wickets and 0 runs to push Fire on the backfoot.

The Phoenix skipper initiated a middle order collapse after which the Fire lower order failed to recover. Katie Levick (2/21) and Emily Arlott (2/26) were brilliant with the ball in hand as well helping the Birmingham side defend a low total as they kept the hosts down to 112/8 at the end of the innings.
