Time for us to bring a curtain on our coverage of the third game of Women's Hundred of this year between Manchester Originals Women and Welsh Fire Women. Manchester Originals have started their campaign on a winning note.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Hiren Kumar and Pritam Dey and our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Good night.
Tammy Beaumont (Welsh Fire Women Captain) : "Yeah absolutely credit to Manchester Originals how they bowled in the middle phases but credit to Sophia Dunkley the way she batted and finished the game for us. When I got out, she was not getting much strike but the way she adapted shows the hard work she has done in the recent past.

They was some extra bounce in the surface so against the new hard ball it was quite challenging but I am sure the men will come out in sometime and bowl some rockets in this surface. (On Jess Jonassen) We were really happy to get her in the squad and we know you can throw the ball to her and she will do the job for you with the ball as well as with the bat. All the players love to take ownerships and it was so good to see as a captain.

I was absolutely proud of the way Shabnam Ismail bowled today. You have to give her the freedom as she knows what to do. Really happy with the performance tonight and I am looking forward to our next game at home, lets hope they get behind us."
Sophia Dunkley (Hero of the Match): "Yeah, the game got closer than I thought. I got it close but lucky to take it over the line. We bowled well and restricted them to a low total.

I tried to overhit sometimes and Beaumont told me to be calm. It was important to hold my shape and get power through the hips. That is something I have worked on. It was important to get started with a win. Very happy with the win."

Time for the Post Match Presentations.
22:07 IST and 17:37 Local Time | Welsh Fire Women have come out victorious to start their campaign on a high note. All thanks to Sophia Dunkley who was phenomenal in their opening game.

Electing bat first, Manchester Originals Women were off to a good start. They got it because of Laura Wolvaardt. Laura hit a few boundaries and registered a 50 partnership with Beth Mooney. On the team score of 58, Laura Wolvaardt got out scoring 37 from 27 balls with 4 boundaries and a maximum. Beth Mooney struggled and she could only muster 19 runs from 24 balls. The problem for Manchester side was that no middle order batter stepped up for them. Emma Lamb, Fritha Morris, Kathryn Bryce and Evelyn Jones- all got out for cheap scores.

However, skipper Sophie Ecclestone took the charge and she hit a couple of consecutive maximums to take her team to a comfortable position. Ecclestone remained unbeaten on 27 from 15 balls with 1 fours and 2 maximums.

Jess Jonassen was the star of the bowling picking up 3 wickets giving just 17 runs away. Georgia Davis took a couple of wickets and the other wicket was taken by Freya Davies.

Chasing the run, Welsh Fire Women never looked in discomfort. Sophia Dunkley started the innings with a few boundaries and that helped her side to get going as Tammy Beaumont was taking her time in the middle. Once the latter became set, she also started to hit boundaries. The duo registered a 65 run partnership from 55 balls and after that, Tammy Beaumont got out scoring 31 runs from 29 balls with 5 boundaries. Hayley Kristen Matthews joined the crease at number 3 but could score only 1.  Sarah Jennifer Bryce joined Sophia Dunkley in the crease but got out for 4.

At a point, WF-W needed 41 runs from 25 deliveries. Manchester bowlers conceded just 17 runs from the middle 30 balls from 9th set to 15th set. Sophia Dunkley batted sensibly in this phase. She hit a four and the maximum to take the equation down to 25 off 15 balls. Eventually the equation came down to 21 off 14 balls when she reached her fifty with a boundary. That set included 13 runs and the equation was 12 from 10. Sophia Dunkley batted with too much maturity in the final 5 sets and she remained unbeaten on 69 from 47 balls. She was on 34 off 32 at the start of the 16th set and after that, she scored 35 runs from just 15 balls to take her team home.

Fritha Morris took a couple of wickets and the other wicket was taken by skipper Sophie Ecclestone.

Stay tuned for the post match presentations.
