That's it from match 27 of the Men's Hundred competition. A run feast at the Old Trafford, Manchester. That will be it from our coverage tonight as the team of AkshayaKrishna Polya, Paras Yadav and Ninaad Dixit takes your leave. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Harry Brook (Northern Superchargers Captain): Nicholas Pooran is a phenomenal guy, isn't he? It was an outstanding innings from Nicky P. Over the moon with this win. We (Brook and Pooran) wanted to stay at our end and take on the respective short boundaries.

Matthew Potts has been good with the ball. We came back well after they (Originals) went berserk in the powerplay. One of our coaches also said that we also gave too many in the death.

Pooran is pretty cool. A chill guy. He doesn't want to run too many twos (chuckles). It is a thing with these West Indians. They like to go big. Even with Pollard the other day against Rashid Khan. More than the gym work, it's their big bat swing.

Captaincy has been good. I have played cricket here. Knowing that with two short boundaries, bowling to Pooran was going to be difficult.

We did lose a bit of momentum with the rain. Now that we won tonight, we will continue the momentum.

Topley has gone back to Leeds. He should be back with us on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for Stokes."
Nicholas Pooran (Match Hero): "First of all, thanks to the almighty. It was one of my better innings; it's a new format, but I'm happy that I could contribute.

Yeah, I know; Hose struck the final blow well. More than that, I am really happy that he is coming back to form.

We need everyone to get back to form. We need all our boys to contribute and perform together.

I was surprised; that ball went up so high. I am happy that I could get the win. Hopefully, we can get this result again.

In T20 tournaments and even in this 100 ball competition, peaking at the right moment is very important."

Ben Stokes is with crutches! Things don't look good with the Test series against Sri Lanka coming up in 10 days.
1:20 AM IST, 8:50 PM Local Time: An unbeaten 66 off 33 balls from Nicholas Pooran has helped the Northern Superchargers to stay in contention of the finals as they defeat the Manchester Originals by 7 wickets in a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Superchargers won the toss, decided to field first with Phil Salt all guns blazing hit 61 off 28 balls but failed to find support from any other batter. What looked like a chase of over 200 was contained down to 152/7 with the spinners led by Mitchell Santner executing the brakes.

Fazalhaq Farooqi started with 10 balls conceding just 2 runs and picking up Matthew Short early. Ben Stokes suffered a hamstring injury and was retired hurt soon after.

The powerplay fetching just 23 runs against the Originals' 73. Skipper Harry Brook joined Ollie Robinson at the crease  and displayed some intent. Scott Currie on the 36th ball removed the struggling Robinson on the first ball he delivered bringing the A-pair of NickyP and Brook at the helm.

The duo added 56 runs for the 3rd wicket. Brook scoring 43 in 26 balls with 4 fours and 2 maximums. Usama Mir (1/14), Tom Aspinwall (0/17) and Currie (1/26) applying the brakes in the middle overs after dismissing Brook.

But it was Pooran who held his nerve and smashed the bowlers all over the park to finish unbeaten with 2 fours and 8 hits out of the park. Adam Hose supported him well at number 6 scoring an unbeaten 27 in 14 balls with 1 fours and 2 maximums, finishing the game off with a biggie.

With the thumping win, the Superchargers take the third spot on the points table and remain in contention for a place in the next round. Manchester Originals with just 1 win in the season so far are already ruled out.
Adam Hose with the winning hit, but it's Nicky P who had set the game up for the Superchargers. They move to third on the points table.

6 HOSE GOES BIG AND CLEARS THE FENCE! SUPERCHARGERS MOVE TO NUMBER 3 AND LIVE IN THE TOURNAMENT! 85 mph. Gets a half volley pitching outside the off stump. Hose is underneath and smashes this up and over the long on boundary. Clean hit to finish the game off! This has been a Nicholas Pooran special!
Pooran is off strike. Northern Superchargers need 3 in 4 balls. Salt is having a go on the stump mic, saying here is the game now, Scurrie!
96b S Currie to N Pooran
1 Over the wicket. 85 mph. Full and outside the off stump. Drills it down to Overton at long on. Picks up a single.
Scott Currie to deliver the final set.
What a powerful striking from Nicholas Pooran. A hammering blow that has almost sealed the game for the Superchargers, who now need just 4 runs in 5 balls. Farooqi, who had bowled so well until his final set, had no answer to Pooran. 22 runs coming off it.

6 SIX RUNS!! No stopping Pooran tonight! An inswinging full toss around thigh height at the middle stump line. Pooran clears the front leg and shoots this straight down the ground. Lot of bottom hand involved in the stroke. Overton at long on is underneath it but watches it sail over the head!
