Right then, another final ball thriller comes to an end this time between the Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal who, along with scorer/analysts Raju Khariya brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Tom Abell (Welsh Fire Captain): "Yeah we obviously needed the win tonight. Really proud of the group and the way we defended this target was phenomenal. The bowling group did brilliantly to defend the target against this strong side.

It wasn't an easy wicket to bat on and the wicket of Joe Root changed the game for us. Getting one of the worlds best players, via a run out, we needed a magic there and Joe Clark did that.

He it was difficult to use my bowlers because of the shorter side at one end. In the death the tactics was just slower balls so yes we did that really well.

(On Rashid Khan) Yeah absolutely, we had a word on it how to play high class spinners. Jonny played an unbelievable knock and we were into a really good position to put pressure on their bowlers.

(On Jonny Bairstow) Yeah to be honest I had that feeling right throughout the competition that Jonny has been pumped up every game. He always wants to get going and has pushed me a lot.

Yeah we love to score runs, get high scoring games but the pitches have been different this time. Tonight we have defended a low score, so this will give us a lot of belief moving forward."
Jonny Bairstow(Hero of the Match): "We have had a couple of close ones. This competition is such that different teams will have different players of different qualities. If you have the skills, you can defend the total. You will always get the opportunity. Boys have been exemplary in the field.

The turning point in the game in my opinion is the two run outs. If you can execute those, you can always have the advantage. See I'm very happy on the result. Next game is at Cardiff and it is going to be tough for us. Boys should give best on Monday. The environment is very good. Cheers!
Hero of the Match: Jonny Bairstow
01:12 IST & 8:42 PM Local Time | Yet another final ball thriller at The Hundred as Welsh Fire have defeated the Trent Rockets by 4 runs. A sensational low scoring thriller here at Trent Bridge as the entire crowd has been silenced by the Welsh Fire.

Earlier in the day, the Welsh Fire were put into bat by Lewis Gregory. Welsh Fire did not get of to a good start at all as they lost both Luke Wells and Joe Clarke cheaply and they were down to 9/2 inside the third set.

The third wicket partnership between Jonny Bairstow (55 off 45) and the Skipper, Tom Abell (33 off 26) added up 90 runs off 63 balls for the Welsh Fire behind the former got dismissed right after getting his half century.

Trent Rockets fought back well in the final 25 balls of the Innings and restricted the Welsh Fire to a total of just 129/6.

Samuel Cook was the pick of the bowlers for Trent Rockets with figures off 2/22. Trent Rockets had to chase down 126 runs in their 100 balls.

In reply, Trent Rockets got off to a decent start with the bat. The wicket was not easy to play your shots freely. Post the powerplay, Trent Rockets looked ahead in the game until the run out of Joe Root (17 off 15) which changed the complexion of the game on its head.

Since then, the home side kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Welsh Fire held their nerve in the death overs and defended the target with ease in yet another final ball encounter.

David Payne (2/18) and Haris Rauf (2/15) were the pick of the bowlers for the Welsh Fire. They have taken the all important two points and have done the double (Mens+Womens) over the Trent Rockets tonight.

Haris Rauf defends 9 for his side and he is pumped up!! Welsh Fire win by 4 runs and the entire crowd has been silenced.
100b H Rauf to L Wood
0 WOOD MISSES AND WELSH FIRE HAVE GOT THE VICTORY!! What a match this has been! Rauf steams in from round the wicket. Good length delivery at the pads. Wood looks to heave it over the on side but misses as Rauf takes the pace off from it. Tom Abell roars in delight and the entire Welsh Fire side is on seventh heaven. What a terrific team performance!
Tom Abell is having a word with his bowler and is setting up his field. FINAL BALL COMING UP!
5 runs are needed off 1 ball now.
Oh Sam Hain wants a NO BALL here for height. The TV Umpire is having a look. He says its a FAIR DELIVERY!!
99b H Rauf to S Hain
1b What have you done Sam Hain??? A strike rotation at this stage means Wood will face the final ball and this might be a faux pas. Full toss delivery around the off stump. Hain looks to heave at it but misses and it goes to Bairstow's left. A bye single is taken. 5 from 1 now.
A couple of runs to keep the strike for Hain. 6 runs needed off 2 balls now!
98b H Rauf to S Hain
2 Two runs from Hain and it's 6 from 2 now for the Rockets. Good length delivery outside off. Hain shuffles and hits it to the left of the fielder at deep midwicket for a couple.
8 needed off 3 balls as Sam Hain is on strike against Haris Rauf.
Sensible from Wood to give Sam Hain back the strike.
