That's it from this contest, folks! James Vince and Ben Duckett played a scintillating knock for their sides but the latter's valiant knock went in vain. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. CHEERS!
Chris Jordan: "Our batters set up the match. But it was not an easy pitch to bowl with the new ball. It was coming into the bat nicely. It held up a bit in the middle phase and getting to the last phase. We did manage to find the right areas.

It was an awesome innings from Ben Duckett. He was just brilliant. It was good to execute our plans and overcome that terrific knock. No break for us (chuckles). We might be playing on Monday!"
James Vince (Match Hero and Southern Brave Captain): "It was a nice pitch, particularly up front. Maybe held a bit as the day went on. It was quite an abrasive wicket.

Halfway through, we felt like we missed out on a couple. When the ball got older, it was trickier to get away. We got it slightly wrong upfront and fed Duckett a little bit, but then we were fantastic. Duckett was brilliant with the bat, but we made a good comeback. Jordan is fantastic; I think conditions did get tricky, but everyone did a good job with the ball. It was a fine performance with the ball.

A fantastic group of players and people performing at the right time have kept us going. The players are playing better. It's important we back this win up again on Monday in Cardiff."

9:43 PM IST, 17:13 Local Time: A magnificent comeback from Southern Brave bowlers in the latter half of the innings as they edged out Birmingham Phoenix by 32 runs, winning their second game on the bounce. A valiant knock from Ben Duckett went in vain.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Alex Davies and James Vince negated the new-ball bowlers carefully and kept the scoreboard ticking at a decent pace. Vince switched gears after getting into his groove and pummeled Phoenix bowlers all around the park. However, Howell trapped Davies for 30 runs, breaking the 81-run opening stand.

Leus du Plooy stepped up at number three but failed to make an impact with the bat, departing for run-a-ball 9 runs. Kieron Pollard paired up with Vince in the middle and started the carnage. The dynamic duo added an unbeaten 68 runs for the third wicket and helped their side post a hefty total on the board.

Phoenix looked good in patches but failed to curb the scoring rate. Vince smashed 90* runs off just 47 balls, while Pollard remained unbeaten on 38 runs off 22 balls. Sean Abbott and Benny Howell were the only bowlers to get a wicket to their name.

In response, Phoenix lost Aneurin Donald for a mere seven runs but Ben Duckett came out all guns blazing and kept his side in the hunt with a brisk scoring rate. However, he lacked support from other batters as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and fell like nine pins, ultimately being restricted to 137/9 in 100 balls.

Duckett continued his carnage and moved to the 90s but failed to reach the three-digit figures, departing for 92 runs off 53 balls. It was a sorry-looking scorecard for Phoenix as only three batters scored in double-digits.

Southern Brave bowlers chipped in with wickets at regular intervals and secured victory for their side. Akeal Hosein and Chris Jordan bagged three wickets each for Brave. Tymal Mills chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Jofra Archer contributed one wicket to Phoenix's downfall.

1 That is the end of the fixture! Birmingham Phoenix have been defeated in their backyard! Southern Brave win by 32 runs! A low full toss angled into the batter on the middle stump. Milne backs away and mistimes the lofted hit downtown. Gets it on the bounce to the right of long off, keeping the batters to just one.
99b C Jordan to T Southee
1 Full and outside the off stump. Southee tries to get underneath and smacks it past the left of Jordan, who has no time to react to it. Clobbers it to the right of mid-off. Vince made a diving stop but failed to stop the batters from changing ends. Southee is off the mark despite a direct hit at his end.

Jordan denies Duckett's century as the southpaw falls just 8 runs short of his ton. He walks off the field to a standing ovation from the crowd.
98b C Jordan to B Duckett
W WICKETTT!!! No 100 for Ben Duckett! He departs for 92 and gets a standing ovation! A low full toss outside the off stump. 85 mph. Duckett shuffles across outside off. Gets down on one knee, looking to scoop it over fine leg. Fails to get the required timing and hits it straight down the throat of deep fine leg. Tymal Mills takes a good catch and completes the dismissal of the lone warrior!
97b C Jordan to B Duckett
2 Slower ball, into the pitch, outside the line of the leg stump. Jordan follows Duckett backing away and the left-hander mistimes the pull towards cow corner for a couple of runs.
96b C Jordan to B Duckett
4 FOURRRR!! Moves into the 90s with a boundary! Over the wicket. Full on the leg stump. Duckett backs away and manages to get underneath it. Opens the bat face and squeezes a drive past the flying extra cover to his left. Beats Pollard's chase from mid off.
