Aiden Markram (South Africa Captain): "Very grateful to get the win. Don't think we were near our best tonight. We would have a lot to reflect in the next couple of days.

We want to back our strengths. Bowling in the right areas could get something off the wicket and that troubled the batters. Lot of credit goes out to the bowlers tonight.

The way they bowled, they put us under a lot of pressure. They have a good quality in their side. Our intensity was a bit low. Its about backing plans.

The conditions change a lot in the Caribbean. We have to assess it early and then develop the plans. Looking forward to the next few games.

Shamsi has come out of injury a few months ago so it was an opportunity to give him a go today. We would play 2 spinners in the hindsight. We wanted to give some game time to Shamsi, that was the thought process behind the swap with Keshav."
Rohit Paudel (Nepal Captain): "Yeah, I am very proud of our bowlers. When we saw the wicket yesterday, we thought it will be on the slower side.

It went really well when were bowling, it was turning a bit and when we introduced our spinners. Then I brought on Kushal Burthel and then we carried on with spinners.

We came close but in the end still too far. In the crunch moment, we didn't do well. But this exposure will help to be on the other side of the result next time.

I want to thank them (fans traveling 1000s of km to support the team) for supporting us. Even during rains they come and support us. I want to thank them and really grateful to them."
Tabraiz Shamsi (Player of the match): "Yeah, definitely relieved. We came here with goal of finishing four out of four. It got a bit too tense but great to see team standing up.

I knew there will be turn when we get to the West Indies but our pacers bowled well in the USA.

The wicket got a bit better in the second innings, they took advantage and played a great game.

Look, the huge positive is we've been put under huge pressure every time and we've come out on top. It is good going towards the business end of the tournament. We are just going to take it one match at a time."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: TABRAIZ SHAMSI
8:21 AM IST, 10:51 PM Local Time: South Africa hold their nerve and defeat a mighty Nepal side by the barest of margins to win a thrilling low scoring encounter to finish their group stage without a loss.

Nepal won the toss decided to bowl first and thanks to the spin twins Kushal Bhurtel (4/19) and Dipendra Singh Airee (3/21) restricted the Proteas to 115/7 in the 20 overs.

The chase started well with the opener Aasif Sheikh top scoring with 42 in 49 balls holding the fort. The powerplay fetched 32 runs without any wicket. Tabraiz Shamsi introduced in the 8th over chipped in with Bhurtel and Rohit Paudel's wickets in his first over.

Aasif and Anil Sah (27 off 24) added 50 runs for the 3rd wicket but Anil looking for a big heave against Aiden Markram threw his wicket away with just 31 runs needed shifting the momentum towards the Proteas.

Tabraiz Shamsi returned to bowl the 18th over and removed the dangerous Aasif. With 16 needed in 2 overs, no other Nepal batter could hold the nerve. Sompal Kami hit an important maximum in the penultimate over with Gulshan Jha hitting a boundary in the final over to bring the requirement to a-run-a-ball.

Ottniel Baartman executed his plans well in the final 2 balls and a dramatic run out on the last ball sealed the deal for the Proteas by just 1 run.

Tabraiz Shamsi playing his first match of the tournament was the pick of the bowlers with 4/19. Aiden Markram bowled a couple of tidy overs with 1/8 and Anrich Nortje (1/27) was the only other wicket taker. Marco Jansen (0/16) and Ottniel Baartman (0/20) bowled economically for the African side defending the low score.

With this defeat, Nepal have been knocked out of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

It's all chaos! Appeal for run-out at the bowler's end. Joel Wilson has sent it upstairs. Chris Brown in action. De Kock gives it out straightaway. Heinrich Klaasen with a piece of magic, with a back hand flick, hits the stumps at his end. Gulshan Jha fails to get home but by just one inch. Games of margins for a reason. OUT!!!!! HEARTBREAK FOR NEPAL! SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 1 RUN!

W APPEAL FOR A RUN OUT AT THE BOWLING END! TV umpire will check this. Could have been a wide over the batter's head though. Short and angled away from Jha who plays and misses. Charges at the other end for a bye. De Kock had his glove removed early and hits Jha. The ball deflects off his shoulder towards Klaasen who runs in from extra cover to collect the ball. Picks it up and hits the stumps at the bowling end. Jha is dragging his bat down but fails to get back in! TV umpire confirms this is OUT! South Africa win by the barest of margins.
OH MY GOODNESS! DOT BALL.... We are down to the last ball. Baartman and Jha both are under pressure. Nepal need 2 off 1 ball. 1 runs for the super over.
19.5 O Baartman to G Jha
0 PLAY AND A MISS! Baartman bangs it short angling it away from the fifth stump line. Gulshan fails to move his feet, wafts at the ball and makes no connection.
