1:07 AM IST, 2:37 PM Local Time | Well that's all she wrote for today folks! Join us back tomorrow as we roll on with the T20 World Cup and the rest of cricketing action from around the world!

Until then, this is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my co-commentator Deepak Prakash, and our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya! See you on the next one.
Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): "(On toss' importance) Yeah, I think we obviously got a bit of a read on the wicket. Our bowlers were awesome up top, getting two or three wickets during the powerplay and all throughout.

I thought they were brilliant. ( On Pringle and van Beek)Yeah, I think both of those boys have been amazing for us over a few years now.

(On taking the chase deep) Yeah, obviously, ideally, we would have finished that a little bit quicker. I got a little bit nervous at the end, but I thought the way Maxi (Max O'Dowd) batted throughout and Bassy (Bas de Leede) finished it off was great. To do well in these tournaments and make it to the next stage, you have to play consistent cricket all the way through."
Rohit Paudel (Nepal Captain): "The overcast conditions was really challenging, credit to the Netherlands bowlers, they bowled very well. As a batting unit we failed today, I could have strategized more and our failure to build a partnership hurt us.

I was moving laterally and not allowing the bowlers to settle on their lengths, it was working for me but I feel I could have done better. We bowled well as a bowling unit, and we could have been better in the field. I put down a crucial catch and that was poor. If I would have caught that, things would have been different.

I want to thank everyone for their support and we are grateful as a team. If we do better as a batting unit, we can do better in the future."
Most 50-plus runs for Netherlands in T20 WCs:

Most wickets for the Dutch in T20 WCs:

20 - Paul van Meekeren

15 - Bas de Leede

15 - Timm van der Gugten

12 - Ahsan Malik
Tim Pringle (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I think we bowled well as a bowling group. Obviously, speeds are crucial for a spinner. I think it is important to hold our lines as we change."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: TIM PRINGLE
12:50 AM IST, 2:20 PM Local Time | Netherlands hold onto the nerves to kick off their World Cup campaign with a victory! They defeat a stubborn Nepal by 6 wickets to take home the points today!

Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first,
and owing to the overcast conditions, the pace bowlers of Netherlands started trouble Nepal with test match bowling from the get go. Their discipline and a flow of steady wickets helped Netherlands bundle out Nepal for just 106 runs inside 20 overs.

Logan van Beek was the pick of their bowlers with the figures of 3/18 from 3.2 overs. While, Tim Pringle chipped in with 3/20 from 4 overs.

Come the chase, it would have been a simple chase for Netherlands on any other day but Nepal came out all guns blazing with their aggression and attitude, ultimately getting off to a dream start with the early wicket of Levitt, thanks to KC.

However, that remained their only wicket until the powerplay ended with Netherlands at 36/1 at the end of 6 overs. Perhaps the only difference in both innings was Netherlands holding onto their wickets and thanks in large to Max O'Dowd's unbeaten match winning knock of 54 runs from 48 balls.

Some calculated batting from Netherlands and missed opportunities in the field hurt Nepal in the end. They would have felt, they were 10-15 runs short of taking home the victory today.

In the end, it was Netherlands who become the second team in Group D to win 2 points and take a positive step towards Super 8 qualification. Nepal will go back to the drawing board and look to improve in their next game.
18.4 A Bohara to Leede
4 FOUR! de Leede finishes things off with a boundary! Netherlands start their campaign on a high note but credit to Nepal team as well for fighting till the end in this paltry total. Full-length delivery outside off. de Leede leans into it and drives it crisply through the cover region for a boundary to seal the game.
18.3 A Bohara to M O'Dowd
1 Full and outside the off-stump. O'Dowd drives it to deep point for one.
Back-to-back boundaries brings up the 3 figure mark for the Dutch! 5 runs needed from 10 balls! O'Dowd reaching a match winning half-century.
18.2 A Bohara to M O'Dowd
6 SIX! In the air and lands on the boundary cushion! O'Dowd brings up his fifty with a biggie! Back of a length delivery on the stumps. O'Dowd sits down on one knee and pulls it towards deep backward square leg. The third umpire is checking it and the replay confirms that it has landed on the boundary cushion. Six runs signaled.
18.1 A Bohara to M O'Dowd
4 FOUR! This will ease off the pressure a bit! Over the wicket. Length delivery angling on the middle and leg stump. O'Dowd uses his wrist to whip it towards deep square leg for a boundary to start the over.
12 balls to go and 13 runs needed for Netherlands.
