A washout to end the T20I leg of Australia's tour of England. Both teams share the honours of this three-match series 1-1. Now, they move onto the ODI-leg where five games have been scheduled to play.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya, who brought you all the live updates of this series decider. We will be back with another enthralling fixture. Until then, its cheers!
England skipper Phil Salt and Australia captain Mitchell Marsh pose with the Trophy as the three-match T20I series was shared at 1-1.
Phil Salt (England Captain): "Yeah, very proud of it. If you lose the first one, you are under pressure. The message was when we are pushed back, we come back harder. Partnership between Livingstone and Jacob was really good in Cardiff. Really pleased with the way we responded but just disappointed we couldn't get on today.

I think just the way we are playing, just the brand of cricket we are playing. When we are on top, we can really get the foot down. I think the Aussies found it hard to defend in Cardiff when we got going. I think more than anything else, it is just the way we are playing our cricket.

Yeah very positive. We want to win bilateral series but it has slipped away from us today. I think the more time we spend as a group, the better position we will be in when the big tournament arrives.

I have enjoyed it. A bit different. Really enjoyed the challenge and the added responsibility."
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "There were a lot of positives. It would have been good to finish off the series with a win. But we can't control the nature. It has been a wonderful series. We move on to the ODIs now.

We started in Scotland as a T20 group and gave opportunities to young players. They were given specificz roles across these five matches. We have a few guys who will come back into the side at some stage, but it is always a pleasure to see a young group play in England."
Liam Livingstone (Player of the Series): "Just been a bit more involved. Getting a chance with both bat and ball with a few boys been away. So, yeah I am just back enjoying my cricket. I have had a lot of fun, it has been great. Different environment with a few younger faces and stuff so I have just really enjoyed my cricket.

Look I want to try and be involved as much as I can. I haven't been always to do that lower down the order. I want to do whatever role comes my way, to the best of my ability. I want to play for England for as long as I can. A little bit higher up the order is good for me."
Player of the Series: Liam Livingstone
Player of the Summer (T20Is): Jos Buttler
Time for post-series presentation...
8:50 PM IST & 4:20 PM Local Time: The match has been abandoned due to persistent rain in Manchester. The series ends at 1-1.

Australia dominated the first T20I but England bounced back in style, courtesy of a match-winning half-century from Liam Livingstone to level the series.

An exciting series decider was on the cards, but the rain gods had other plans. It has been raining in Manchester since morning, and with no respite and a forecast not looking promising, the officials had no choice but to call off the contest.

With the T20Is out of the way, both teams will shift their focus on the 50-over format. A 5-match ODI series is set to begin from Thursday (September 19).

Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the ODIs as well and it gives Harry Brook an opportunity to lead the hosts for the first time in international cricket.
8:45 PM IST & 4:15 PM Local Time: The inspection took place despite a steady drizzle. The covers remain firmly in place, and both umpires assessed the conditions with their umbrellas up.
8:20 PM IST & 3:50 PM Local Time: With just minutes left for the pitch inspection, a slight drizzle has arrived in Manchester. The covers are coming on. Pitch inspection looks highly unlikely now.
7:57 PM IST & 3:27 PM Local Time: The live pictures don't look too promising, the outfield looks like a mini swimming pool. The inspection will take place if there is no more rain. However, Ian Ward on air has mentioned that more rain is in the forecast. For now, the mop-up operations are underway.
7:45 PM IST & 3:15 PM Local Time: We have got some positive news, folks. The rain has stopped and the covers are coming off. A pitch inspection has been scheduled for 4:15 PM Local Time & 8:45 PM IST.
7:15 PM IST & 2:45 PM Local Time: It is still pouring down in Manchester and the latest update we are getting from the venue is that the cut-off time for a 5-over per side match is 5:46 PM Local Time and 10:16 PM IST.
6:50 PM IST & 2:20 PM Local Time: Nothing new to update, I am afraid. It is still raining in Manchester. A few puddles have formed on the ground as well.
