Thats all we have for you folks from the 2nd T20I encounter between England and Australia. We are heading towards the series decider on Sunday at Old Trafford.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of co-commentator Akshay Bhide who, along with scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. Tata Bye Bye👋🏼
Phil Salt (England Captain): "Yeah it was an incredible performance and obviously what Livi did at the middle as we all know what he is capable of and also what Bethell did was pretty impressive to watch.

I knew it would be a tough chase but we wanted a couple of good partnerships which we got tonight and that helped us to chase down the target.

(On Jacob Bethell) Yeah he is a real talent to be honest. As I said, just the way he took down Zampa tonight was quite incredible.

(On Liam Livingstone) Yeah he has started this series brilliantly, 5 wickets and over 100 runs with the bat is just outstanding so hopefully he can do the same at Old Trafford on Sunday."
Travis Head (Australia Captain): "It was cool. Felt like we were in the hunt at the halfway stage.

The conditions slightly changed. The dew arrived. We did well in the last couple of overs but failed to get over the line.

You go with what is talked about and the game plan. You try to do the best but it doesn’t work every time.

Nice to get Jake in the series. We didn’t win but we'll take the positives from this game.

Actually, should have bowled Short earlier. We know what he can offer. We have got a number of all-rounders and it’s nice to have him with the decider and the ODI series to follow.

I just tried to keep rolling the ship for Mitch. Unfortunately, no win. But keep it rolling. "
Liam Livingstone (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it's been nice. I did say that I was getting my body to the normal after the hundred. The last couple of years have taught me some life lessons.

I do enjoy. It's not easy with six or seven overs remaining. Moving up the order has been challenging but enjoying it.

Jacob is an incredible talent. He has got a good head above the shoulder. To be out there batting with him was great. He's fearless and it was pretty special.

It's nice to have this crowd here. Good to go to Manchester with 1-1 and get the Old Trafford crowd behind us."

02:19 AM IST & 9:49 PM Local Time| Thats the end of the 2nd T20I encounter between England and Australia as the home side have played some terrific cricket tonight and have levelled the series 1-1. A 3 wicket win for England with an over to spare.

Earlier in the day, Australia were put into bat by Phil Salt. The two Aussie Openers once again got their side into a flying start. Stand-in Skipper, Travis Head’s quickfire knock came to an end inside the powerplay as he was dismissed for 31. Jake Fraser-McGurk walked in at 3 and scored his maiden half century in T20Is.

In-form Josh Inglis batted well at the middle but once again the middle order of Australia failed to get runs. A quick cameo from Aaron Hardie in the death overs helped Australia reach a massive score of 193/6 in their 20 overs.

Young JFM (50 off 31) was the top scorer of the Innings for Australia. For England, Brydon Carse (2/26) was impressive with the ball as he was the pick of the bowlers for England along with Liam Livingstone (2/16). England need 194 runs to chase in their 20 overs and level the 3 Match T20I Series.

In reply, England came out hard in the powerplay as both the English openers targeted the inexperienced new ball bowlers of Australia before Sean Abbott picks two wickets in an over to dismiss Will Jacks (12) and Jordan Cox (0).

The 3rd wicket partnership between Skipper, Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone added 45 runs before the former was dismissed for 39. Young Jacob Bethell walked in at 5 and after a watchful start, he got going along with Liam Livingstone as they added 90 runs together in just 47 deliveries which took the game away from the Aussies.

Liam Livingstone batted almost till the end with a match winning knock of 87 off 47 deliveries which consisted of 6 Fours and 5 Sixes. Matthew Short was the pick of the bowlers for Australia with a fifer to his name but it went in vain. England have levelled the 3 Match T20I Series 1-1 by chasing down the target of 193 runs in this game and won the encounter by 3 wickets and with an over to spare. Over to Manchester on Sunday for the series decider.

1 That's it. England keep the series alive. Short bowls it full outside off, Rashid leans into it and opens his bat face on impact to push it to the right of short third man for a quick single. Denies Short the hat-trick and takes his side home with three wickets in hand.

Adil Rashid comes in at 9 to face the hat-trick ball.
Matthew Short has picked up a FIVE-FER out of nowhere.
18.5 M Short to B Carse
W Heaved leg side and taken by David. Matt Short has a five-wicket haul. Incredible bowling from him. Comes over the wicket, bowls a flighted off-break on the stumps, Carse steps out of the crease and heaves it into the leg side off the toe end of the bat. David from mid on moves back, settles under this high ball and takes a good catch with a reverse cup.
Brydon Carse walks in at 8.
Oh No! Livingstone was just a bit too excited to hit the winning runs and now has to make the long walk back to the pavilion after a match winning Innings.
18.4 M Short to L Livingstone
W BOWLED' EM!!! Short picks up his fourth scalp as Livingstone falls with only one required to win. He is disappointed with himself as he takes the long walk back to the pavilion. Short again bowls it quicker and fuller around leg, Livingstone looks to flick it but misses. It clips his back pad and deflects onto the stumps. End of a fantastic knock from Livingstone. He walks off to a standing ovation from everyone present in the stadium.
