A rain-hit day in Malahide and an abandoned T20I without the toss. India win the three-match series 2-0. Plenty of action for India moving ahead. Asia Cup is the next assignment. We will wrap the coverage from our side. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya brought you all the live updates from this final game of the series. We will meet again in the next one. Until then, it's cheers!
Jasprit Bumrah collects the trophy for winning the three-match series 2-0 and now, Bumrah hands it to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rinku Singh as Team India pose for the photographs.
Jasprit Bumrah (India Captain/Player of the Series): "Don't know about that but happy to be back and play cricket. This is something which we did not see coming because the weather was good in the morning. It's been a lot of fun, it's been great to lead the side. Everyone is very enthusiastic. Even if the game would have started, everyone was eager and ready to go out there.

I don't really think about that. [On captaining the team straightaway] When you are getting an opportunity to lead a side, any player would love that. As a cricketer, you always want responsibility and I always love to take responsibility.

All, good, no complaints [on the feeling to be back after months], but one thing- not one year, 10 months [sighs because Alan Wilkins, the presenter mentioned one year].

It always feels good [about the group]. It makes my job a little easier. It becomes easier when they come up with plans and makes things easier for me. They come up and discuss their plans with me. Not too bad [when Alan Wilkins the presenter mentioned about 100% win record as a captain]. Got a good start, so very happy with it."

Paul Stirling (Ireland Captain): "I think just the periods of good cricket. Good patches of it. A lot of positives but it's about finishing those games on. It is brilliant to have India up here. Talented cricketers and India always give quality cricket. It would have been great to get a game today and give a few fresh faces a chance. We will continue to work hard in the journey to T20 World Cup. It's a buildup of around 10 months."
Jasprit Bumrah is the player of the series.
10:43 PM IST, 18:13 Local Time: Let us move onto the post-match presentations...
The post-match presentation ceremony is just around the corner. Do stick to this space for the captain's quotes and what the award-winners have to say.
- This is India's 12th bilateral T20I series win in the last 14 series.

- India has won 10th consecutive 3-match bilateral T20I series win.
This is the first series win for captain Jasprit Bumrah. This was his first full series leading the Indian group and starts off on a positive note.
India won the series 2-0. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
10:22 PM IST, 17:52 Local Time: Paul Reynolds is having a chat with Jasprit Bumrah now. In another frame, Paul Stirling is there. And there you go, the officials shake their hands. Bumrah and Stirling shake their hands and so it should be done and dusted. So, the match gets abandoned as the conditions did not look soothing for play.
10:15 PM IST, 17:45 Local Time: The two umpires are strolling at the center of the field. Few of the covers are still on. Puddles have formed in certain areas of the field. Shivam Dube can be seen having a chat with one of the Irish players. And now, Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian jumper joins them.

On-field umpires- Jareth McCready, Paul Reynolds, Third Umpire- Roly Black, and Match referee- Graham McCrea can be spotted in the field, having a thorough discussion. No happy faces.
Arijit: The outfield looks really wet. Looking at the player's safety, and the bigger events coming up in the next couple of months, India should avoid playing here. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna are just arriving from rehabilitation. There are more important things to be taken care of.
10:03 PM IST, 17:33 Local Time: The players are starting to inspect the field and scatter around. The rain has eased off a bit and a few of the covers are starting to get peeled off slowly.
9:54 PM IST, 17:24 Local Time: Phew!!!! The rain has finally stopped. The ground staff have just arrived at the centre and have started the mopping up job. We will have the next inspection at 17:45 Local Time (10:15 PM IST).
9:48 PM IST, 17:18 Local Time: The umpires had a look at the conditions of the ground. It is still raining. We got to see the umpires have a chat with both Bumrah and Stirling but there were no shake of hands. Which means the umpire might have informed about the conditions and what are the possible steps one can expect.
