Earlier in the day, Leinster Lightning💫 won the toss and invited Northern Knights to bat first. Northern Knight got off to a good start as their openers (Ross Adair and Ruhan Pretorius) glued a partnership of 38 runs for the first wicket. The Knights posted 57/1 in the first 10 overs.

bowlers for the Leinster as he scalped 2 wickets and gave away just 36
runs in 9 overs. While Fionn Hand went expensive as he gave away 82
runs in 9 overs but picked 2 wickets. R Wilson

While chasing a big total of 317 runs, the Leinster
Lightning💫 started
innings with Heatley Tector and Simi Singh but they didn’t get a good start.
They lost 4 wickets when 51 runs on the scoreboard in the first 15 overs. The Knights
were put under pressure straight away over Lightning.
Then, Lorcan Tucker and Mark Donegan steered the sinking ship of the Lightning and glued a solid partnership of 64 runs for the 5th wicket. Before Mark Donegan, who walks back to the hut at 16.
George Dockrell joined Lorcan Tucker and this duo glued a partnership of 35 runs for the 6th wicket. Lorcan Tucker was the lone warrior for the Lightning, who continued assaulting Knights bowlers. He played a fantastic innings of 72 runs in 57 balls including 9 fours and 2 maximums.
George Dockrell departed after scoring 28 runs off 23 balls. Gavin Hoey and Barry McCarthy, they both put up a partnership of 55 runs for the 9th wicket. Then, McCarthy’s short cameo of 34 runs ended, while Gavin Hoey went off at 37 and Leinster Lightning bundled out at 250 runs in 43.3 overs.
From the Knights bowling point of view, Matthew Foster was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3 wickets and gave away just 26 runs in 5.3 overs. While Theo van Woerkom and Tyron Koen picked a couple of wickets each. Tom Mayes, Matthew Humphreys, and Ruhan Pretorius scalped a wicket apiece.
