Match Details
That's it from our coverage of the 7th Maharaja T20 Leauge fixture between Mysore Warriors and Hubli Tigers from the Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadiyar Ground, Mysore. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Megh Mandaliya here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Ashok. Tune in for the 8th Maharaja T20 Leauge fixture between the Mangalore United and Shivamogga Strikers, which will begin promptly. See you there!
Megh: After winning the flip and electing to bowl first, the Mysore Warriors would be ecstatic from their implementation today.
A comprehensive victory for the Warriors today. After losing one in two matches and having a little space for rest in-between, the Mysore Warriors orchestrated a brilliant with the bat as well as with the bowl.
Captain Karun Nair stormed back in form after a couple of failures in the first two matches. He and Nihal Ullal powered them to a cracking start, with both scoring 91 (52) and 48 (43) respectively.
They both looked in a sublime touch today, with Karun Nair anchoring the innings and Nihal playing the secondary role.
The 141-run opening partnership between Karun and Ullal guaranteed a ceaseless flow of runs and assisted the team towards a victory.
The Hubli Tigers simply lacked intent in the second innings. They would be downhearted. They failed to get a hold of any wicket today.
The Tigers have lost 2 out of their 3 games now and they would be aiming to bounce back going forward into the tournament.
The Mysore Warriors will next face the in-form Gulbarga Mystics tomorrow evening, whereas the Hubli Tigers will now get a well-needed break of one day.
They will also lock horns will the Mystics on the 12th of August. We are still in the early stages of the tournament, it is unjust to predict anything at the moment as myriad possibilities can occur.
However, one thing is for sure; this edition of Maharaja T20 promises even more exhilarating and intense action in the forthcoming matches. Stay Tuned.
