Match Details
Chasing 112 runs in a T20 game is never a hard job, and it becomes even more easier when Perth Scorchers are in the commanding seat.
It was another day at the office for the Scorchers where they told the opposition that it's their world and other teams are merely living in it. Even a force named David Warner couldn't haunt them as they now bagged their third straight win.
Cameron Bancroft and Stephen Eskinazi just took off against the Thunder bowling. The openers gave them a brisk start and laid runs on the foundation. Bancroft and Eskinazi looked comfortable against both seam and spin in the opening stand of 77 runs, which came inside nine overs.
However, against the run of play, Eskinazi (40) lost his wicket to Nathan McAndrew while trying an innovative scoop over the keeper. But, after his wicket, Bancroft just took off and smashed his 10th BBL fifty.
The Australia Test opener was well supported by Aaron Hardie (11) in the fagend of the chase before the Scorchers finished off things with 43 deliveries still in hand. They now have bagged two more points and remain top of the table.
