Tugral| 10.15 PM IST: So, we are done here with the Rayalaseema Kings winning the game with relative ease as they just had 141 to chase against the Vizag Warriors. Kings won the match by 7 wickets. Kings cleared the way for their Eliminator game by winning this match.
Rayalaseema Kings had a poor start and Abhishek Reddy got out on the second ball of the first over. Rayalaseema's opener Reddy sat without opening the account and lost the wicket without moving the scoreboard. Shaik Rasheed and Prasanth Kumar try to take charge of King's innings, together they put up an important partnership of 45 runs for the 2nd wicket and brought the match to a good turn. During the powerplay, Rayalaseema batters had put 43 runs on the board without losing any more wickets. Other batters also chipped in with some runs but nobody managed to capitalize on their innings. Soon after the powerplay ended, Rasheed (14 off 19) was run-out due to poor communication. Krishna joined Prasanth in the middle, but he lost their wickets cheaply by scoring only 7 runs. Vinay Kumar played a cameo inning, scoring 15 for his team to lift the team from the pressure. The Star player of today's game was Prasanth Kumar (106* off 58) who scored an unbeaten Century and led his team to win the match by 7 wickets. More than half of the entire innings came from Prasanth's blade, he rained fours and sixes in all directions of the ground.
From the bowling team's point of view, Karthik Raman went for 26 runs in his 3 overs for a wicket to his name. Raman was an effective and impactful bowler throughout the innings. Venu also managed to take a wicket but he gave away a lot of runs in his 2 overs. 4 extras were given by the Warriors as they were good overall. King's doing well to get to chase it easily 141 in the end.
