Chattgram Chalengers got of to a blistering start, maximizing the powerplay by scoring 71 runs and losing two wickets. They continued the aggressive way through the innings, Will Jacks was the only batsman to get a fifty which came in 18 balls. The middle order also chipped in with runs. Afif Hossain got a quick 38 of 28, Sabbir Rahman was slightly slow getting 31 of 29 before getting out to a good ball from Mossaddek who finished with figures of 4-25 -1. Some big-hitting was seen in the last five overs, 71 runs being scored, thanks to a Brilliant knock of 41 of 21 balls from Howell and a late flurry from Mehdy Hasan, the Challengers become the first team to post a 200+ score in this edition of BPL. On a pitch which was flat and with the boundaries not so big. Sylhet had to get of to a good start, but they didn’t ,Simmons was stumped early on in his innings, they managed to score just 43 and lost a wicket, they slowly upped the run-rate towards the middle overs thanks to Anamul Haque and Colin Ingram who stitched up a great partnership. Anamul getting 78 of 47 and Ingram with a 50 of 37 deliveries, A brilliant hatrick was taken by Mrittunjoy Chowdhury who broke the back of the chase and made it a very a difficult task from there for Sylhet.
