This is Arijit Kundu, closing out the coverage alongside co-commentators, Rohit Yadav and Md. Farzan.Hope you've liked the coverage and do tune into the other two games today from the Syed Mushtaq Ali schedule. The next match features Karnataka up against Saurashtra. Do join us for all the action. Adieu.
Arriving to chase, Vidarbha lost their first wicket without a run being scored on the board.

Following this, Wadkar and Taide steadied the ship and scored boundaries whenever they could. Both the batters gleamed well against the opposition bowlers and managed to jolt a 96 runs stand together. Both these men almost extracted the match in their favor. Soon Shubham Dubey came in and went after the Maharashtran attack. He scored a quickfire 18 and took the game more closely towards victory.

21 runs were required from the last 18 balls and just after two deliveries of the over, JItesh Sharma crunched three back-to-back sixes to knock the door of quarter-finals in style. Skipper, Akshay Wadkar remained unbeaten on 58, and a big shoutout to Atharva Taide for scoring 56 of just 38 deliveries.
Earlier in the game, Vidarbha had won the coin-flip and elected to field first.  Maharashtra lost their first wicket quite early as the skipper, Naushad Shaikh found himself plumb in front, of a quick delivery from Yash Thakur.
Following this, Rahul Tripathi and Yash Nahar found some good connections of the blade and kept the scoreboard ticking with some odd boundaries. Both of them went on to glue a 64 runs stand together.

Rahul Tripathi continued to excel and played some charismatic shots all around the park. Despite his fearful approach, wickets kept tumbling from the other end at regular intervals. From Kedar Jadhav to Azim Kazi, and from Ranjit Nikam to Divyang Hingkanekar, none of the batters could settle down against the bowling attack of Vidarbha.

Maharashtra lost 5 of their wickets in the last five overs and ended their scoreboard at 157. Rahul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers, scalping a three-fer with his raw pace. Akshay Karnewar picked two wickets with either handedness and one wicket each for Nalkande and Wakhare.
And there you go!! A hat-trick of sixes from Jitesh Sharma takes Vidarbha to the quarter-finals.
The mindset has been pretty clear from the start of the chase and everything, almost everything, except the first 10 overs of the 1st innings went in favour of Vidarbha today. THe bowlers had been spot on with their execution and plans. The fielding was at par, and the batting efforts, simply brilliant!!
17.5 Yadav to J Sharma
6 SIX MORE! Jitesh lofts another one over the bowler's head for another maximum to seal the game for Vidarbha. He's done it in style and the chasing side storm into the next round of the competition. Hard luck for Maharashtra as they fall short by runs in this knockout encounter.
17.4 Yadav to J Sharma
6 ANOTHER SIX! Length ball once again, Jitesh plays it over the other side. He punches it over the fielder at long-on region for another maximum. 4 required to win.
17.3 Yadav to J Sharma
6 SIX! Jitesh gets down the track and smashes it over long-off region for a much-required six. He's keeping the momentum high.
17.2 Yadav to J Sharma
4 FOUR! Short of a length delivery takes the edge of the bat and races away to the third man boundary for four runs.
17.1 Yadav to A Wadkar
