That's a wrap on our coverage for Match 44 of WBBL07. Do not go too far away as we will be back bright and early tomorrow morning for a double-header in WBBL At Mackay. First up it will be Brisbane Heat taking on the Adelaide Strikers from 4:45AM IST Followed by the Sydney Derby Sixers and Thunder live from 8:10 AM IST. Both the games from Mackay. We look forward to your company for these two games as well as the Pakistan-West Indies Women's 3rd ODI as well as the ICC Men's World T20 Final featuring New Zealand and Australia live from Dubai. So, plenty to look forward to as a cricketing fan on Super Sunday. But Super Saturday comes to an end with the end of this match.
Courtney Grace Sippel has been adjudged the Player of The Match award for her figures of 2-12 in 4 overs which included a double wicket maiden at the start which really rocked the Sydney Sixers innings.
So, Brisbane Heat do get the job done as they chase this paltry total of 92 in 14.1 overs to win by 3 wickets with 35 balls to spare. They made a heavy weather of this chase for sure. But a win is a win nonetheless. Heat go up to 2nd in the table with this win, 1 behind the Renegades.
Sixers bowlers tried their best, they showed a great amount of intensity to drag the game till they did in the 15th over but 91 was never going to be enough. Credit to the Heat bowlers for how they bowled and never allowed Sixers to get away. Sippel was the star for Heat along with hr skipper Jess Jonassen.
Cheatle and Brown did well taking 4 wickets between them along with Campbell to make a match out of it but it was to a meagre total to defend and get a miraculous win. Great to see the intensity and excitement in this game. So, Heat is in 2nd place, while Sixers campaign is in dire straits, languishing in 6th place with 4 wins to show for. Their campaign is as good as over in my opinion. Another under performance from them this season, backing up last year's under performance.
Stick around to find out who was the Player of the Match award.
14.1 R Yadav to Klerk
3 Three runs and Brisbane Heat win! Short by Radha Yadav, and that's pulled away comfortably by Klerk to deep square leg for three.
