This is Rishabh Gandhi along with Karthik Raj, signing off. But don't go anywhere and stay tuned for the next game between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers.
Daniel Christian is the player of the match for his crucial 41 on 17 deliveries.
It's the end of this 16 over game between Sydney Thunders and Sydney Sixers and it's the Sixers who have outplayed Thunders in this thrilling encounter. Sixers started off a little slow but after the reduction in overs due to rain, they came out strong enough to manage 168 in their 16 overs. Dan Christian and Hughes got crucial runs for them and were leading from the front. A decent bowling effort from Thunders but spectators were being made to field the most as we saw a lot of big hits into the stands.
In reply, Thunders came into bat chasing 169 but losing wickets constantly couldn't help them reach anyway near to the total. Both the openers got out early. Alex Hales who was looking good but Sean Abbott got him out early. A decent knock from Jason Sangha but not quite enough to save his team. Daniel Sams at the end got 28 on 11 too but Thunders fell short of 30 runs at the end.
W It's over!! Sixers have done it. Abbot gets the last wicket. Bowls it short outside off and Sangha clips it towards deep mid wicket region and straight to the fielder, GONE!
