That's all from the coverage of this game. Do join us for the big finale on Sunday. Until then, it's a ta-ta and a goodnight from me, Anurag Dasgupta and my co-commentator, Akshay Bhide and Anurag Singh.
Kaushik Gandhi | Winning skipper: It is very important. When we set out picking the team, we had this mind. But this does not count now and it is a fresh start in the final. Apart from Radhakrishnan none of the others were getting a good hit, so it helps going into the final. We will go all guns blazing against them and whoever plays well will come out on top.
Sai Kishore | Player of the Match: They had lost three wickets at that time, I just asked Kau if he wants a wicket or defend and he gave me the allowance - that was the plan behind it. Definitely helps to play at a higher level but it is important to do the basics right. Feels good to be back here and I love playing the TNPL.
Hari Nishanth | Losing skipper: We should accept the loss and we have to learn. But we played like champions. I feel better with this team and have to salute this team. I can be proud of the boys, the graph has been up and down but the boys responded to my reactions. There are some finds for us, Gurjapneet has a good slower one, Mokit played a brilliant knock, there are a lot of positives going forward. I am grateful to the management, they have supported me and my motivation was to learn from Badrinath which I have managed to do. I was batting well but should take a note from this game; I should have batted at least till the 18th over.
Time for the presentation ceremony.
DG: A mere total of 104 was never going to trouble the star-studded batting lineup of the Super Gillies. They came out with an aggressive frame of mind and bossed the chase in some style. The opening pair of Jagadeesan and skipper Kaushik Gandhi never allowed the bowlers to settle in properly and latched onto the loose deliveries on offer. Kaushik was the aggressor in the 69-run opening stand, as the skipper unleashed his wrath on Silambarasan, hammering him for 22 runs. Despite losing Kaushik Gandhi and Jagadeesan in quick succession, Super Gillies crossed the victory line with utmost ease with four overs to spare.
DG: And with that MIGHTY blow, Chepauk Super Gillies have reached the finals of the Tamil Nadu Premier League. They came with a clear game plan and boy, how well did they executed it. They have won this game by 8 wickets in hand and honestly, it was a one-sided affair right from ball number one.
