Good Morning and Welcome to the third and final game of this multi format series. I’m Ovaise, along with Anurag, Anmol and Zeeshan will bring you all the action from the game between Australia Women and England Women of the Women’s Ashes played at the Adelaide Oval.
After beating England comfortably in the first T20I, The second T20I of the Women’s Ashes was abandoned after it started pouring in Adelaide. Only 4.1 overs were bowled in a rain-curtailed match of 14 overs a side. England batting first scored 25 in that period. The match did not yield any result and both the teams shared a point each. Australia lead the Women’s Ashes with three points to England’s one point.
England batting has done well with Danielle Wyatt hammering
70 runs of just 54 balls in the first T20I, she stitched an 82-run opening
partnership with Tammy Beaumont. Natalie Sciver has to fire on all cylinders if
England have to come back, the star all-rounder showed glimpses of what she can
do in the first T20I, though she went wicket-less with the ball, she made a useful
contribution with the bat, Making a quick 32 off 23 ball.
The Australian skipper Meg Lannning has entered the record books during the first T20I, she became the first Aussie Woman to score 3000 plus runs. She along with Alyssa Healy put up a 64 run partnership of 44 balls, inducing 8 boundaries. Australia may have found their perfect All-Rounder in Tahlia McGrath, Her performance with both ball and bat put Australia in a winning position, she picked up 3 wickets giving away 26 runs, with the bat she came at number three and got an unbeaten 91 of just 49 balls, which included 13 boundaries and a massive six. Australia would want her to fire in today's game as well.
Pitch : More than 300 runs were scored in the first T20I, we are likely to see the same in this game as well, expect loads of runs to be score again today. Bowlers have found it tough on this surface, but if they attack the stumps and bowl a good line and length, they have a high chance of yielding the results in their favour.
Weather : The weather does not look very promising, Light rains are expected through the course of the match. There is around 70% chance of precipitation. The average temperature will be around 25 degrees Celsius with wind blowing from the north.
Stay tuned for the toss and team news.
