So, that brings an end to our coverage of this fantastic 2nd T20I between Australia and New Zealand. It is me, Karthik Raj signing off along with my co-commentators, Aryasekhar Chakraborty and Sourya Choudhary.
Martin Guptill : Little bit cooked at the moment, but it's nice to score runs, importantly to get the win. They played well till the end. Things haven't gone my way but nice to spend time and get the win. You never know in T20 cricket. Teams are in even with a 200 chase. Hopefully everyone who came enjoyed the game.
Martin Guptill has been named as the Man of the Match for his extraordinary 97-run knock which set-up the victory for New Zealand.
Kane Williamson : Flashback scenes there. Incredible partnership from Sams and Stoinis. It was a pretty strong performance from us. On these grounds , you are always in the game. We know the power they have in their line up. It was about executing our plans. Fantastic atmosphere, crowd was amazing and it was great to get the result. Number of contributions throughout. Outstanding knock from Martin. It's not an easy thing to defend here, lot of things to take and build on for the next game. It's a bunch that's really enthusiastic about improving. We haven't played here for a long time, great to be out there.
Aaron Finch : We got back into a great position. That partnership between Sams and Stoinis was extraordinary. How dynamic he (Stoinis) was from the start of the innings, along with Sams. Trent bowled a beautiful 18th over which halted our momentum. All in all, a good game of cricket. Obviously would've been nice to be on the winning side. I thought we didn't bowl too badly but Guptill played a brilliant innings along with Kane Williamson. Great batting display. Wonderful place to play cricket here.
Comments from the skippers:
Australia became slight favourites at that point but Trent Boult pulled his side back by conceding just six runs in the 18th over. Eventually, Australia needed 15 off the final six balls but Neesham held his nerve and dismissed both Sams and Stoinis to seal the victory.
The promising Josh Philippe struck the ball well but Mitchell Santner made a big hole in Australia's chase by dismissing the trio of Ashton Agar, Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell within the space of a few deliveries. Just when Australia were struggling at 113-6 after 13 overs, Marcus Stoinis and Daniel Sams started the Kiwi bowling to all parts of the ground. The duo were harshly against the likes of Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi as they reduced the equation to 36 runs off three runs.
That is it, New Zealand eventually wrap up a thrilling four-run victory. Amazing work from James Neesham to defend 15 runs off the last over given that he hadn't bowled previously in this game. The southpaw Matthew Wade got Australia off to a decent start with some funky shots before he was dismissed for a 15-ball 24-run knock. However, Australia scrambled to only 53 runs in the Powerplay as the skipper Aaron Finch continued to struggle. Finch's misery finally came to end in the 8th over as he walked back for 12 runs off 14 balls.
Sourya: The Trans-Tasman rivals have served up a delight today.

19.6 James Neesham to Jhye Richardson
4 FOUR!!! a boundary to finish the match but Australia won't cross the line, finds the gap between the point and the short 3rd man fielder, what a match it turns out to be.
19.5 James Neesham to Marcus Stoinis
W WICKET!!! and that is the end of the game in all likelihood, length delivery on the stumps, is in the arc but Stoinis manages to only get a top edge and the long-off fielder stations himself and takes a brilliant catch, got the height but not the distance and it is a big blow which has ended the hopes of the visiting team.
Karthik: Finally, Stoinis gets underway in this over. 9 runs needed off two balls now
19.4 James Neesham to Marcus Stoinis
6 SIX!!! finally Stoinis gets under the full toss and a much needed six for Australia, thumps this well over long-on and it goes sailing over the ropes for a maximum.
19.3 James Neesham to Marcus Stoinis
0 Refuses the single on this occasion, hits this down the long-on region and had chance of rotating the strike but he refuses, 15 required of the last 3, what an over this has been from Neesham thus far.
19.2 James Neesham to Marcus Stoinis
0 Full delivery down the leg side but no wide called, Stoinis moves across the off stump trying to help it around the corner but doesn't make contact which might have prompted the umpire to not give this a wide.
