Player Bio

An explosive top-order batsman and more than a handy offie, Tom Prest is an English professional cricketer who is a part of Hampshire’s second XI squad. Born in Dorset, Prest enjoyed a successful season with both bat and ball and also gained selection for the National Super 4s competition in 2019.

Prest who recently turned 18 replaced the injured James Vince to make his first-class debut for Hampshire against Surrey on July 4th, 2021. The young gun showed why he is so highly rated after steering his side to victory over Gloucestershire with an unbeaten 59 in only his third match.

Prest shot to fame in the early parts of the 2021 season when he scored a triple-century for the second XI and the first in the competition since Marcus Trescothick for Somerset in 1997. A cricket with vast skillsets, the 18-year old is a level-headed person who is constantly looking to strive and to learn.
