Player Bio

A tall, well-built seamer who generally opens with the new ball and balls at a rapid pace, Dominic Leech is a professional English cricketer for Yorkshire County. Leech started his cricketing journey playing at the U-14s, U-15s and U-17s level for Yorkshire before representing the Three Lions at the U-19 level in 2019.

Leech made his first-team debut in the shortened 2020 season, making his debut against Nottinghamshire in the Bob Willis Trophy and picking up 2 wickets both of Haseeb Hameed. At the age of 19, he was handed a rookie contract prior to the 2020 season and has just a handful of senior appearances under his belt up till now.

The Middlesbrough-born allrounder suffered a horror knee injury when he collided with the side stand in a championship fixture against Lancashire on July 13th, 2021. A tall 6ft 5inch figure, Leech is quite accurate with his line and length which makes him a lethal bowler when combined with his pace. Yet to recover from the nasty knee injury, the youngster would be hoping to bounce back in decent fashion and showcase his abilities at the highest level.
